This video demonstration is for method no. 21. You have to have Qualcomm drivers installed. I have checked on my windows 10 and even in driver signature on on mode it is detected even with debugging off.
2. While connecting your mobile at USB port it should be powered off and volume up button should be pressed. I. e. Press the volume up button while connecting to the USB port until it vibrates then release the volume up key. Then it is detected as Qualcomm device on com port.

Smarty_009, thanks for the video and the above suggestion after which I am able to see the Qualcomm device under COM port. So, which method do you recommend for rooting and getting TWRP recovery. I might flash CM ROM later if gets stable.
Did you see benefits after rooting? Other than installing some root based apps like XPOSED, Greenfiy (root mode), etc, are any other mods that we can do?
Also, I would like to have the option of going back to Stock ROM later if the Lenovo comes with any further upgrade or Nougat.
Pl suggest.

In you post #114, you have mentioned these 2 points:
16.Click on download button. While download progress is running press and hold volume up and volume down button simultaneously till you see TWRP flash screen.
17.Once you boot in to TWRP recovery then flash install SuperSu that you kept on SD Card in step 3 above to obtain root access.
18.You may restart to normal system now.
But they are are not covered in your video https://youtu.be/C6pTBHRiVdc. Anyway, I will follow the above steps.
Couple of questions:
* I am keep OEM unlocking on. How about USB debugging and Verify Apps over USB? Shall I keep them on?
* QFIL version that I have is 1.0.0.2 (downloaded it from Internet since the QPST in the OP was giving some Visual C++ error as mentioned earlier). Can you share the Ver 2.0.0.4?
* I have extracted SuperSU under />storage/emulated/0 (as shown in ES Exp) - Hope this is the root directory?
Thanks for all the help.
Bro first video was only for flashing stock rom so didn't discuss those steps. Check out just now posted video of method 2. There I have discussed this step. Thanks, bro.

1. Oem unlock and USB debugging I recommend on.
2. Verify apps over USB I am not sure because it never affects anything. I keep on however.
3. I will share it from google drive but you will have to wait else look for XDA-Developers or 4pda.ru (Russian site) for official latest firmware.

Sorry bro I didn't understand what you mean to say."If you have different ROM installed, then flash S272 (by selecting rawprogram0.xml) otherwise go to the next step."
genius. and if I want to flash the firmware is not the old 272 and 1627 5.195.1 unlock boot and set recovery not?
no, i m install firmware newest 288 - 1627 5.195.1Sorry bro I didn't understand what you mean to say.
If you are on S288 rom then continue as per method 2 video to install custom recovery twrp and then root. This step will unlock bootloader.
If you are on any older version of rom then irrespective of weather it is lollipop or older marshmallow rom go as per first video to flash s288 stock rom. This step will bring you to latest version of the stock ROM.
YOU may choose to stay on stock Rom without rooting also.
Is there any mistake?

You have mentioned that we should keep only Volume up button pressed while downloading till TWRP recovery screen comes on, whereas in Point 16. you had mentioned "While download progress is running press and hold volume up and volume down button simultaneously till you see TWRP flash screen."
Should I go as per the video?
I suppose "17.Once you boot in to TWRP recovery then flash install SuperSu that you kept on SD Card in step 3 above to obtain root access." is still required.
Couple of questions:
* I am keep OEM unlocking on in Developer Options. How about USB debugging and Verify Apps over USB? Shall I keep them on?

Pl clarify.
Bro all the three videos are for latest firmware S288 only.no, i m install firmware newest 288 - 1627 5.195.1
and i want to install recovery, but i dont find this info method
Check out the video where I tell how to root using adb method. When you use boot in bootloader that time nothing comes on screen. I have said this in video. Only lenovo flash screen white in color in displayed. Use fastboot devices to check if you are in bootloader mode. This is demonstrated in that video.Sorry for bad english. I have rooted and installed the TWRP recovery using QFIL like the video but I think the bootloader is still locked (when I reboot in Bootloader mode the phone is blocked in the boot Lenovo white screen). I've tried with ADB and by Reboot app but nothing.
When I use ADB the device is view (attached). Where am I doing wrong? Thank you

Smarty_009, I just tried the QFIL method and got this error but I can see the TWRP recovery screen. Should I go ahead and install Super SU or just Reboot and get out? If you see twrp it means recovery is flashed but either bootloader in not unlocked or other two (gpt main, gpt...) those shown in video didn't flash properly.
It will be better to re do flashing. That error appears when data transfer is interrupted due to some problem.

No probs! Actually, the SShot I sent you was after the 2nd flash. First time I tried with just volume up as per video but it came back to home screen and gave the attached error. Second time, I pressed both Volume up and down and it went into TWRP.Bro, sorry for the delay.

I rebooted and came out. Did not flash SuperSU. Fortunately, all data was intact.
Should I try reflashing again?

No luck, bro. Same error as sent in the first SShot. Showed me TWRP screen and rebooted and got out. What next?
Now that I have TWRP, can I take a full backup? Hope TWRP will work propertly.
Should I risk installing SUPERSU or just leave it? Hope I won't brick my phone.
Any suggestions?
