Are you serious ? I'm not a noob, I'm telling that after booting into recovery, its getting struck. I'm new to XDA not to rooting and flashing

Hey bro am not God here to know what are you doing there and where you went wrong.

So please don't expect anybody over here to help you out exactly with the solution you expect while you yourself are not sure what you did wrong. We all can only guess.

Go back and read everything from post 1 and you will know what everybody has done so far. Where people were stuck and what are the remedies. Everything is there in all older posts. You are not the first person to flash twrp and root.
You didn't care /take pains to go through older posts and now you are getting annoyed on someone who is trying to help. If everyone is able to do (even the noob like me) then if you are not able to do means something is wrong with your steps.

Hey guys watch this video and ensure your bootloader in unloked before you proceed. With a locked bootloader you cannot replace stock recovery.

Once you extract run the batch file and wait for display on twrp splash screen on your phone. Once you booot in to the twrp just install superSu to get root access.
Please test this zip and let me know if this works for you. I could not check its serviceability.

I used same recovery img and adb also am on S288 rom only. But I did not face this issue. I have no idea.

Hey Guys

Today i have intentionally hard bricked my own Lenovo Vibe P1 (P1a42) just to demonstrate you all how to recover the dead (hard bricked) qualcomm devices.
This process is more or less same for all the qualcomm devices. In some devices other steps may be needed where you will have to wipe entire ROM space and make a single partition of ExFAT format.

Hold volume up and down both when you press download.
If your flash is successful but you still don't get twrp then

If bootloader is unlocked then

This will get you twrp by adb method

Just follow Smarty_009's detailed instructions. I was running Lineage OS 14.1 and Aosp Extended RoM for several days. Reverted to stock S288 rom about an hour ago. I had problems with cpu scaling with custom roms. Extended rom runs great on games. Will flash it again once they implement Interactive as its default cpu governor.

For stock S288 installers:
the best way to unlock bootloader andbTWRP is by QFIL.

After the initial setup, enable developer options, tick allow oem unlock.

- power down phone
- press and hold volume+ while connecting a known good usb data cable.
- Qualcomm drivers should install. If successful, com port should appear on Windows Device Manager and QFIL (Select Port)
- load rawprogram0_aboot+twpr.xml and patch0.xml. And then Download....
- Here's the key, press and hold volume +/- as soon as the installation reaches 99%. Forcing to reboot into recovery.
- once in twrp flash supersu beta 2.74/2.76
- wipe dalvik cache. Reboot

even on my i7-3770k, only QFIL is running each time I flash something.

Already tried the QFIL method as Smarty_009 told. but nothing works... still not able to install recovery ..
Any idea why that error " FAILED (remote: invalid signature and data) " ..?

but i have issue which when my phone is locked after 15min and above it will turn off automatically
I found a work around that might be useful for others too.
Just install SOD Killer from Play store ( official link) SOD Killer
This app ensure your phone awake when you locked your screen, but there is no major issue with battry drain for me.
This fixed the problem.
As of now, my phone works fine with no auto shut down after i locked my screen. Hope it helps.
I believe it might work with other custom ROM as well.

NOTE:
Steps:
1.Download P1a42_S288_160721_ROW_RAW_QFIL.rar from the link (see post no. 107 by me for link) .
2.Extract the rar file in some folder on your computer.
3.Download SuperSu from the link (see post no 82 by amitritu_1509 for link) and extract it on root of SD Card of your phone.
4.Open QFIL.
5.Load prog_emmc_firehose_8936.mbn in select programmer option.
6.If you are already on S288 version then jump directly to step 12.
7.Click on load xml file.
8.Load rawprogram0.xml and patch0.xml.
9.Switch off your Vibe P1 and connect to USB port of your computer. It should be detected as QUALCOMM COM port automatically.
10.If it does get detected click on download button.
11.Your download progress will start. After download is completed your phone will restart automatically.
12.After first boot (which may take longer time) go to settings -> Developer options and enable OEM unlocking.
13.Switch off your Vibe P1 and connect to USB port of your computer. It should be detected as QUALCOMM COM port automatically.
14.Click on load xml file.
15.Load rawprogram0_aboot+twpr.xml and patch0.xml.
16.Click on download button. While download progress is running press and hold volume up and volume down button simultaneously till you see TWRP flash screen.
17.Once you boot in to TWRP recovery then flash install SuperSu that you kept on SD Card in step 3 above to obtain root access.
18.You may restart to normal system now.

If I assume that you are already on S288 stock rom then also you will need few more files. Like unlocked bootloader and twrp recovery image. I will try to upload tonight. Please standby...
