Disable driver signature verification during boot in Windows 10. Then only Windows will allow you to install unsigned drivers. Also you will have to remain in windows 10 test mode during flashing process.

I looked up the Internet and tried to disable driver signature verification as shown here:

http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/

It said secure boot needs to be disabled, but I am unable to disable it for some reason. Should I change boot mode to Legacy instead of UEFI? Don't want to take any chances....

Found a way to disable (specific to ACER - has to set up a secure password first). Now on test mode, but device manager is still showing as ADB interface only.

Should I just right click and uninstall the driver software? How do I start afresh?

Or else no need to change uefi to legacy.... That is bios option and nothing to do with os...

You were on right guide I don't understand where did you get stuck to disable driver signature verification

Cannot flash twrp since debugging is not abled
You also can flash twrp from adb fastboot command.

But am not sure if debugging disabled will allow flashing from fastboot mode or not.

Tried it, did not succeed. Adb cannot detect my device. Tried wiping everything under the stock recovery but no luck

Thanks my friend. Im thinking that the only way to pass FRP is by flashing custom rom. But without debugging on, I cannot flash the necessary things. Am still finding ways to brute my way in
Qfil will flash even when debugging mode is off. Qualcomm qd loader com port is to be detected. I will try for that video guide on window 10 also if I get time else try on Windows xp. It will work.

1. You have to have Qualcomm drivers installed. I have checked on my windows 10 and even in driver signature on on mode it is detected even with debugging off.

2. While connecting your mobile at USB port it should be powered off and volume up button should be pressed. I. e. Press the volume up button while connecting to the USB port until it vibrates then release the volume up key. Then it is detected as Qualcomm device on com port.

Smarty_009, thanks for the video and the above suggestion after which I am able to see the Qualcomm device under COM port. So, which method do you recommend for rooting and getting TWRP recovery. I might flash CM ROM later if gets stable.
Did you see benefits after rooting? Other than installing some root based apps like XPOSED, Greenfiy (root mode), etc, are any other mods that we can do?

Also, I would like to have the option of going back to Stock ROM later if the Lenovo comes with any further upgrade or Nougat.

Pl suggest.

Method 1: As shown in the video using adb command.

Method 2: using Qfil app and flashing boot unlock and twrp.

Method 2 is much easier and faster for first time attempting because bootloader unlock will be done automatically. It is recommendable.

With xposed and greenify definitely there is improvement. You may choose to lower clock speed to save battery life in case you are not resource hungry all the time. Rooting won't affect as both stock and rooted stock are equally good.

CM rom is not yet that good but be rest assured I have flashed old stock rom more than 20 times in past 1yr and still no problems. So you can come back on unrooted stock rom whenever you desire in just few clicks.

If my video helps please share, like and subscribe on youtube. Please put requests for other guides related to anything that I will try to post.
