Qualcomm - Boost XT1766 - Could someone make a TWRP-flashable Stock?

I've been having trouble activating my device with Boost since flashing custom ROMs. I'd like to temporarily flash the Stock image, then return to a custom ROM. Specifically the stock image here - firmware.center/ firmware/Motorola/ Moto%20E4/Stock/XT1766/ . I found one already that was recently made in another thread, but TWRP refuses saying my device is perry not sperry. Which is fine, as I think it's for the Sprint-specific variant anyway. So if we can avoid that error somehow, awesome (as I see the ROM name has "sperry" in the title). But yes, I'm certain my phone and that model are the same.

Before anyone says "Why didn't you-", I tried RSDLite and it doesn't recognize the device no matter the USB slot or cable. I tried fastboot, but I get "Not enough space" errors on the phone and FAIL's in the prompt. So I've come to the conclusion that the easiest way would be a TWRP ROM. And yeah, I feel dumb already for forgetting to activate the SIM before flashing.

Anyway, I hate being long-winded. I just want to verify that I've done everything I can on my end before anyone makes it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

You Can Flash XT1766_SPERRY_SPRINT_7.1.1_NCQ26.69-56_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
with the utility that was made by rootjunky you can convert the servicefile.xml to a batch service.bat file , you need this RSD_Lite_Motorola_XML_To_Batch_Script.zip

but you have to know that you will loose the ability to add new apn and htospot wont work anymore with this upgrade , and its the only one for the phone around . look to my thread here in the same section GUIDES where is posted this thread look for "How To Get Working Apn + Hotspot After Upgrade to NCQ26.69-56 With SPerry XT1766".

extract the firmware ZIP file , in the same dir put adb fastboot plataform-tools lite and the RDS_lite Xml To Batch script , convert the servicefile.xml and run servicefile.bat with the phone on fastboot bootloader mode connected to computer with windows 10 and run servicefile.bat wait to flash and that is.

Keep it simple...
Just flash stock firmware with RSDLite or fastboot.

https://firmware.center/firmware/

Oops... Just finished reading the full OP.
Try flashing the US Retail version and see what happens.

Side Note: If you flashed a custom ROM before activating the device, it will cause issues. I did the same with a 2013 Moto G and I could never activate it with Boost, the signal read 'Chameleon', could never get it fixed. I had to buy a new phone.

I'm compiling a TWRP flashable stock Android 7.1.1 ROM for the Virgin Mobile xt1766 variant (Build No. NCQ26.69-56). It should also work on the Boost & Sprint variants. It will be pure stock with the exception of dm-verity and forced encryption, both of which will be disabled.

From all my past experiences with the Moto E series of smartphones, the past few years at least, the Sprint, Boost Mobile & Virgin Mobile variants all use the same stock Android build. The carrier specific apps, unique to each provider, are typically downloaded at the time of activation. This was especially true with the Moto E LTE Surnia and the Moto G3 Osprey. If there are any significant differences with the xt1766, someone please let me know. For now I'm assuming the same stock Android 7.1.1 ROM will work for Sprint, Virgin & Boost.

I flash the sprint stock firmware with rsdlite and it provisions as soon as I boot up. (For virgin Mobile)

Yes I hate not having all my past post on this account
Your only chance (a very slight chance) would be to go here: https://www.xda-developers.com/contact/ and contact the web master. If your account was deleted, they might not be able to help you. If it was temporarily closed, you might get lucky. It's pretty much up to Mike Channon I believe, he's the man in charge.
Edit: and don't forget to hit the thanks button when someone helps you.:)

No you didn't didn't step on my toes. I'm very glad you made some stock ROMs available for the xt1766. That has me started on another project, which is using the telephony configurations from the stock firmware to create an Aroma installer which will fix 4G/LTE data connectivity on the xt1766 on LineageOS & other custom ROMs. Data connectivity appears to be a huge problem on the Sprint, Boost & Virgin Mobile variants when running custom ROMs. Thank you for your work & contributions.

Hello old friend. Good to see you here too. The Perry has been my latest interest. Yes, I'll definitely be in touch. I could use a little of your feedback on LTE data connectivity on the xt1766 Sprint compatible Perry.
