i have a refurbished mytouch that doesnt have a 3.5 jack but i get the wrong model ID error when trying to run sappimg.nbh
Im guessing i just follow the goldcard method but is it normal to get that error for a 1.0? or is it only for 1.2

If you have T-Mobile they came out with some blanket policy update that doesn't allow the spl to be changed. Try going to theunlockr.com and follow his goldcard method. It worked for me with a mytouch 1.2 and he also has methods for mytouch 1.0.
