I have Froyomod v.2.70 on my milestone and an ext3 partition. A part of the apps moves to the ext partition, but I thought that everything would move there. I cant see the ext partition in settings. I thought ext partition would be an extension of nand. Do I have to do something before this works?

apps2ext works out of the box on FroyoMOD. I am not sure about ext3, but it works perfectly with ext2. All your data apps should move to the ext partition. You cannot access your ext partition information from within the phone.

You need to use a pc for that.

Edit : You can also check your /sd-ext folder using root explorer.

Since app2ext was successfully enabled on the Rom,..does it still need "moving app to sd" on CM's menu appliction setting?

No need. Apps2sd is very different from apps2ext.

In the description of FroyoMod it is said, that dalvik moves to ext. But i cant find dalvik-cache in sd-ext via root-explorer. My internal storage is nearly full.

As far as I am aware, app2ext only moves your apps (.apk) to the ext2 partition. However, dalvik cache and data from apps still is on the internal storage. It means your data/data folder cannot be moved to the ext2 partition. That's why you still have little space left even if your apps are not on the phone.

Hi all,

so is there any way to move dalvik cache to ext2 on FroyoMOD?
i'm now using FroyoMOD 2.8, everything works great except my internal storage is almost full because of dalvik cache.

thanks for your help.
