Question about Fastbooting

Question: if i fastboot my motorola xoom would it erase my internal memory?

You don't "fastboot" your Xoom. You boot into fastboot and then do what you need to. If you unlock your bootloader, it wipes all of your storage. If you do "fastboot -w" it will wipe all of your storage.
