I'm thinking about getting one for the battery life, but I hate bloatware. I know theres a root method for it now, but I'm new to this whole "developer edition" stuff. Does the maxx hd come in developer edition or can it be rooted regardless?

Root on the Maxx HD is flawless. Just use Titanium Backup to freeze the apps for now. Should wait for someone to figure out the correct apps that can be fully uninstalled.

Also, Android 4.X.X allows you to disable any app. This means you can disable the bloat without rooting. So you can maintain your warranty and still not have to see Verizon's crap. :good:
