So Im getting sent a warranty/RMA replacement Nexus 6P and the customer service rep said I will be getting a new device not a refurb. My question is to those who have received a new RMA device. Does it come in the original box as if you bought it brand new from google with all the accessories or no? I ask because I've spoken to 2 reps and 1 said yes while the other said no. Thanks in advance!!

It's supposed to be a refurbished device. I just RMA'd one and instead of the refurb like the rep said, I got a brand spanking new one in the box with what they come with brand new.

I RMA'd my new Nexus 6P 64GB Aluminium in October, manufacture date June 2016. I received a scratched/scuffed/bent 32GB (May 2015 manufacture date) in return from the 3rd party repair center FutureTel. I was annoyed and complained to Huawei directly and they agreed to send me a brand new 64GB in return, plus a gift for my troubles. Although I'm not 100% convinced yet, hopefully I'll get it this week.

What's the reason for your rma if I may ask? I might have to rma mine since my phone dies and I have to plug in the charger to turn it on.

Phone dies at 20% and phone sometimes wont go into portrait mode.....That happens to mine as well. I hope mine is new or atleast a refurb that looks new. Mine is in prestine condition since day one!

I tried to rma mine for not taking my sim or any sim but Google told me no since it was a gift and the person I got it from as a gift I don't talk to them or can't get in contact with them any more.

Ma.
I had a 128GB graphite that I got never activated new in box on swappa first week of may. I was a victim of the TWRP EFS debacle in early September. I initiated my RMA before the solution came out as I dropped it off at UPS and that night solution came out, I talked to 2 reps at Huawei first said send everything back charger etc. Second said do not send any accessory's but you will get a new phone. But if it has been unlocked or romed they have ways of knowing it, luckily I had the OEM unlocking button on and unknown sources and USB buttons also on before boot loop semi brick. So could still get into fast boot and relocked phone and factory flashed. I got back a brand new 128GB Graphite phone in my box that I sent it in .No charger or cables .Thought I might get lucky lol but no dice. There were 4 of us that were in the same boat and 3 got new brand new phone from Huawei. One who did not relock his boot loader and flash factory got the same boot looping phone back .fortunately he was able to fix it with the fix after he got it back. If sending to Huawei make sure to flash back to factory and lock it. Also Huawei sends you a 2nd day UPS RMA tag but send the phone back to you over Land so mine was close to 3 weeks. luckily I had kept my G3 so I activated it had a phone. Sorry for long story but wanted anyone dealing with Huawei to be aware of my experience.

Question...

I received an RMA replacement for my Aluminum 64 GB Nexus 6P today. It was supposed to be brand new but I somehow suspect it's a refurbished one. The sleeve for the box had no stickers/labels on it like my retail one. It also had a picture of the graphite model, but inside was an Aluminum version.

If you got a brand new phone as an RMA, did it come with the color correct packaging and with stickers/labels on the sleeve?

Also, through barcodes mine was manufactured October 2015... Thanks!

Mine was sealed and looks brand new too. Was your phone Graphite to begin with? Did it have any stickers on the sleeve with IMEI, Model, etc? Thanks.

Mine is Gold. Mine had the stickers like my original device did, there was also a sticker of the IMEI on the back of the device like my original device did as well.

How do you go about getting an RMA?
Depends on where you bought the device. If you got it google directly, contact them. If somewhere else, it depends on how long ago you purchased it.
