Hi,

I wanna enable rounded icons (Pixel style) on a system-wide level in 8.1 pure AOSP ROMs - Cardinal AOSP, Carbon ROM, AOSP-CAF. By default, these ROMs have square icons. I know there are guides on xda showing you how to mod the framework-res.apk. That used to work in Nougat, but not in Oreo.

(By "system-wide", I mean when you press "recent apps", you'd see rounded icons too, and not just in the launcher)

I've seen plenty of ROMs that implemented this (LineageOS, ResurrectionRemix, AOSP Extended, Liquid Remix). How did the devs in this ROM do it?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There's a magisk module called "Adaptive round icons" or something like that.
I'm not sure if it's there anymore but it changes every icon to rounded, just like pixel and it also makes the icons round on the recents apps list
