question mark in battery and wont boot

so my dad has a atrix which i rooted. it was all good for over a month but now it has a question mark inside a battery. he'd tried to boot it just off the charger but still shows up. any ideas?

this happened to me too, it sucked.
you need to get a USB cable and cut one end open to find four wires, the ones you need to strip are red and black. plug the other usb end that is still intact into a usb wall charger. tape the red wire to the positive terminal of the battery and the black to the negative terminal. if you're able to put the battery into the phone, itll keep the wires contacting the terminals a bit better.
this will charge the battery directly, without the need for the phone to boot into the bootloader. wait like 15-30minutes and it should charge enough for it to boot.
i suggest doing a clean install of a rom, wiping the battery stats in CWM and recalibrating with a market app.

sorry for hijacking the thread i am having same issue ive flashed the stock rom again n again but same issue battery is 41% but still same issue Question mark sign on it .. please i need help in it aswell
