Question : Oneplus 3T , stock oos 4.5.1 , any hope for themes?

HI have oneplus 3T , Oxgyen OS 4.5.1 ,stock recovery but temporarily rooted via application apk ( Angelaroot) that use Engineer mode backdoor , and have SU .

So can i safely use Substratum theme engine ? what themes that works , what should i do and what shouldn`t ?

You'd be more likely to get soft brick if you mess around with substratum on 3T with OOS 4.5.1 and stock recovery. If you have TWRP you can flash the substratum rescue zip to uninstall all overlays if you have issues. You'll also be able to create a full backup in TWRP that will restore phone. It's pretty simple but you should read up on TWRP and magisk for 3T if interested.

You won't have full substratum support. Trying to apply theme to Android system will most likely result in soft brick. Swift dark, Swift black and ozone work great with OOS. Notifications won't be themed but you can use the black notification mod by v.konvict

Or you could use latest open beta which has full OMS support instead of just legacy.

than install substratum and chose what theme you desire...
