Question: Updating through Zune and CV firmware.

Hi, I'd like to thank everyone for their patience. I'm coming from iOS and am trying to learn here. If I flash the Lumia 800 with a Country Variant firmware to "debrand" the phone, what happens when future updates arrive? Will Zune try and install the original branded firmware from the carrier? Or does it pull the unbranded version for any future updates?

My lumia was tmobile de. But i flashed uk country variant and when the latest uptade rolled out, i used zune to update and its still uk variant
