I got the settings soft brick too. Phone works, when I receive texts they pop up via go sms pro but I cant get the initial phone set up to complete. ugh!

Hopefully I can get this downloaded and fixed.

surprised so many people are having issues with soft brick at the phone set up screen. After rooting and changing DPI I got stuck in a soft brick, however I was able to do a factory reset from the stock bootloader and go through the initial phone set up without problems (issue I was having was with *after* the phone set up though).

How are you guys getting stuck in soft brick thats keeping you stuck at the initial setup?

I honestly don't know what caused it. I kept getting Samsung text to speech engine has stopped errors and it got on my nerves so I went to options and did the factory reset and here I am stuck...

Did it happen after de-bloating? not sure, but you may be able to bypass the initial set up by tapping home twice to get to s voice, then use that to get into TiBu and reenable apps that were frozen

I did de-bloat a little bit but I definitely didn't remove any vital files so i'm lost...

That doesn't work for me unfortunately.
