FM Radio:

Another post a couple days ago said he attaches the dongle, then inserts the stylus into the headphone hole. I tried it and it works. The stylus makes a connection inside and acts as the antenna.

I tried just using other cords such as the USB cord and it does not do anything. The stylus trick helps me because I do not have a wired headset and do not really want to carry one around. I still have to carry the silly dongle but thats not so bad.

I do have a Jabra stereo bluetooth head set. Does anyone know how to redirect the FM radio to the bluetooth?

LOL!!! Been asking for this for the past like 7 releases and no one comes forth. Some say it magically works for them so no one else chimes in. Havent had this working for some time now using his 23000 series build roms. Doesnt matter if its regular, cht, or max manila versions, still doesnt work for me either. Dont know i had a missed call til i hang up and see someone called or if i magically look at my phbone while on the phone the second someone is calling to see the second incoming call. Guess no one really cares for a fix but i know i do.
I believe this has been discussed before. Search for 'callwait.mid' I'll bet you are pointed at that and the MIDI file is silent.

I tried the .77 radio but found the GPS to be too 'quirky' for me and the WiFi performance not as good.

Interesting about the camera -- good catch -- believe it or not, the Camera interface is run by the radio software, so the flaky behaviour could be due to the radio. Personally, I haven't seen the symptom you describe with the .91 radio.
i havent had any problems with the gps, what were the issues with it? and i knew the camera was connected, from having some radio problems with my old tilt, and i saw you sig with the the tilt 2 and that radio. i just flashed my first gtx version, may 4, :) lovin it, and the camera is good. i dont know what it could have been. i tried both radios on the other version and no luck. it happened to me on the may 1 cht 23xxx and, may 4 cht 23xxx. tried x.xx.25.77, and x.xx.25.91, but not on any previous roms. this gtx rom is running just as good if not better. i pretty excited :D

SinisterJunkie, are you saying that you also flashed Task29 from your SD card? Or simply the ROMs?

I'm unable to use my USB for connecting or syncing and I understood that flashing Task29 was only possible via USB connection. I'm hesitant to flash too often until I can use Task29.

Many thanks for the assistance,
Debbie
No sorry just the ROM. I still need to get back to the laptop to Task29 every now and then. Would be nice to be able to Task29 from a microSD for peace of mind when travelling with just the phone.

Agree.
The problem is that almost all has been discussed before, but ppl here are not reading or searching, just asking and asking

From the chef's Twitter feed...

Great things coming in the next 23568 ROMs... with native 6.5.X packages from HTC :)

You know.. having the top and bottom bars full transparent definitely makes the whole UI look better, I dont know why MS didnt do this! > Sometime soon, I will start cooking ROMs this way... so be forewarned :)

Just in case people don't follow him...No idea where the changelog is but I suspect maybe just the build changed? Idk...

Really diggin the new M2.5 CHT version!!

As you can see from my sig, I have not wandered from my latest version for a while. I thought I would give the M2.5 21xxx another go.

It totally kicks ass!! However, I think that the hardware is just not up to it. It is slightly sluggish from time to time, and I always close all my stuff.

I think I will give it a week or so, and i may have to go back to the M2.1. I will surely miss the calender agenda view, various shortcuts on home screen, deleting email from sense preview, recent documents, CHT, and so much more.

Thanks so much chef!!

OK guys... I've been away for a little while. Can someone tell me what this Task29 is for? I keep seeing it mentioned but am not certain what exactly it is.

Thanks...

Finally upgraded from an older energy ROM, and love the cookie home tab.

Have a check at this thread...

I've been using it if/when I cange flavours of ROMS (i.e. different Chefs), good for a general clean up as there is a lot of rubbish that gets left behind...

Have you tried a newer radio?

I use 4.49.25.91 and it works better than any other I've tried. I get a very week signal in my house, so, I've tried most of them.

Here's the search results, http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=36976741. Only shows what you posted here and another person saying it doesn't work. Just thought this is kind of a must feature and someone would have it working and would graciously upload the proper file for it to work. Discussed a lot but seems to only a dead end every time.

Glad, I could help with a slightly innovative touch for your dilemma.

i know exactly what youre talkin about dude. i also have only noticed it with cookie. looked fine on max. i hate it. but i havent found anything on it. i like the background on all tabs so im not happy with removing b4all, so im kinda glad that didnt work :) ill definitely update if i find a fix.
yea i went to the CHT thread.. co0kie said CHT doesn't modify the wallpapers.. but its always CHT that has the wallpaper problem.. he referred me to use HQ wallpaper workarounds (like HDWall and HQ bg4all).. so im guessing thats the only way to get the wallpapers back to normal in CHT :(
here's my CHT post (there's more in there tho)

no one really knows why he patched it, probly just to show off, afterall he is an Energy Jedi!!!! but the headphones act as an antena, so chances are your not even able to pick up any stations.
