Just wanted to update and apologize, my bug had nothing to do with the kernel, it's a ROM issue. I had been tinkering with different versions of kernels once when I started using prime and put 2 and 2 together. Should have checked before leaping to conclusions. V sorry

Sorry, no, I added vibration control only because some ROMs depends on it and the interface is pretty unintrusive.

Nah upon really paying attention I realized that the phone would crash when pressing the power button whilst playing prime video. Also doing so has a fair bit not consistent chance of breaking the YouTube app and renaming the app package to "com.android.youtube.TikTok.(something)_ROOTED, absolutely weirdest thing. And it happened on stock kernel and unrooted aswell. It's a crDROID issue, I tried to wipe cache on the offchance and I wanted to do due diligence before making bold claims and offering logs like a tit again, but that isn't an option on the recovery. Hopefully the next update magically fixes it

The issue lies in the SOC. SD888 is very inefficient and consumes way too much power, which results in obviously more heat. Don't bother looking for a "solution" at Custom ROMs or a kernel threads, it's simply not it.

I don't want to tell you wrong, but I don't think I've ever had any heat issues. Now I can remember being in direct sunlight and getting a warning on camera app on oxygen I think? I can't remember whether it was OnePlus 8 or 9 Pro, anyhow I'm still on derp even though it's discontinued and have been using this kernel since it hit XDA.
I'm not the biggest gamer but I have been playing that Diablo lately, have played apex legends, and cod. I haven't had any heat problems even with the charger plugged in. I have the unlocked 12gb model but not sure if that would make a difference, but just thought I'd mention.

I'm on OnePlus 9 Pro unlocked from OnePlus. I am running latest version of this kernel on top of Derpfest custom ROM. Derp is not being maintained any longer.
I played Diablo this morning for like three hours straight without a single issue. I use some magisk modules like universal GMS doze but not sure if it will make a difference for heat.
I recommend getting all your MSM tool setup with drivers installed where your PC can see your phone in Fastboot and adb if you plan on going the custom route, that way if something goes wrong you can restore your device.
Me personally, this phone has been pretty incredible besides a few issues like not recognizing my DAC.
The phone does get warm, but I haven't had any issues with it overheating. I really have enjoyed the Diablo immortal so far.
I would definitely recommend this kernel though after you make backups to the three partitions for A & B slots which would be six partitions total backed up. That way if you need to go back, you can restore.
I hope this can help, I don't want to clutter the thread, but just wanted to tell you that for me, I wouldn't go back for nothing. We are really fortunate to have such talented devs sharing their work making LemonadeP_#1.

r20b2 is up and I'm hoping it's the last beta for the r20 series.

Some new CAF tag merges, LRNG v45 merge, v5.4.197 merge, latest f2fs merge, etc.

Notable change perhaps is the removal of zram writeback.
zram writeback was enabled to offload parts of memory to the UFS when it's unused for a long time, but it seems that it can contribute to lags overtime.

It's been disabled for now.

No. according to dev the kernel is not going to be updated to oos 12 and colorOS 12 consequently is not valid for 19.1

Well, don't know what did people expect when it was stated by the DEV that OOS12 is not supported and never will be.

Flashed r20b2. Having issues using wifi hotspot. Works for a couple minutes, then crashes and stops. Using Spark ROM. Not sure if it's a rom issue or kernel. I'll investigate further.

You can't. You need to restore boot.img, dtbo.img and vendor_boot.img from your current ROM in order to be able to do updates through OTA or manually.

You need to flash the boot.img, dtbo.img and vendor_boot.img of the ROM version you are currently using, and then you can update with whatever method you want, then flash arter again once updated
