Yep, you are probably better off flashing stock ota first.
@arter97 just flashed your kernel + f2fs zip following instructions.
Works just fine on latest OOS (GM1913)
I had to flash Magisk again though just like one other user I believe.
Can't remember having ever used any other kernel without changing some or lots of setting.
I like it very much, thank you!
Only thing I miss is KCAL, but that's just me wining...
So I've never switched between ext4 and f2fs. Will switching to f2fs reformat the phone, thus wiping it? I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I thought I'd double check.

That's probably the issue right there. Considering this kernel is way different, you probably have to reflash boot image first before going to another kernel. You have to do the same thing for Kiri.
It erases data (everything) you have to back up

I didn't (at leaats not using oos) I had stock kernel, flashed smurf, then went to ememtal then to kiri then back to elemental than back to kiri witch is the one I'm using in all of the cases I flashed twrp installer and magisk installer. Im looking forward to this kernel waiting for more feedback
