You only need to flash the f2fs live formater via franco kernel manager... Phone reboots and you can setup it again with f2fs
So in my case, OP7 Pro non T, step by step:
1. Flash f2fs live formater via franco kernel manager, then reboot
2. Enter twrp, wipe data and system to f2fs
3. Install OTA rom
4. Flash lasted arter kernel in franco kernel manager or twrp
5. Finally, flash f2fs-optimize.zip in franco kernel manager or twrp
It's correctly step for installation? Tks for your help! :fingers-crossed:
Sorry mate thought you were on 7t pro with 7 pro you can wipe data to f2fs via twrp.
Then you need to flash f2fs-optimize.zip via twrp.
Reboot and setup the device
Hey I cable is connected in the right way. But I found the problem. Everytime I use other charger then original. I need to reboot the cellphone to charge my battery. Its very strange and kernel related.
After reboot the charger works like expected. With original charger I don't have any problem.
Now I need reboot my cellphone every day to charge. I tryd differed chargers as well.
If you need some logs let me know
Hio guys any installation methods or custom versions of this kernel which would work with GM1920 (7 Pro 5G EU) on OOS?
Don't care if the 5g connectivity is there after since I don't use it.
The only kernel I found working is ElementalX but that's not really what I'm after
you must show respect to developer like @flar2Arter yea its a nice kernel but in terms of speed nothing compared to yours
I have written its nice and yeah it is but in terms of speed arter kernel ist really better i had used elemental kernel long time ago
Don't mind me because I know very little about the ways in which kernel and it's components impact performance so I may be talking complete nonsense. Before getting the 7 pro I had a pixel 3a. For ages I have used the Galt's Gulch kernel, but after the Android 11 came out that wasn't available right away so I ran stock for a while and noticed a drop off in performance which made the phone a bit unpleasant to use. Then ElementalX came out for it so I tried it and I felt it made no difference whatsoever. Soon after John released Gulch for A11 and the smoothness was back like with a touch of a magic wand. I'm not after custom settings, in fact I want as little of them as possible, rather would like the optimal preset with merged in the best bits from other sources to maximise the performance and power efficiency. ElementalX covers lots of devices and comes with a great app but seems to have lighter touch to it. Seeing how it's still based on 4.14.117 like the factory kernel and clang 10 plus reading the changelogs which focus on maintaining compatibility makes me want to try something that was tinkered with more and arter97 kernel seems to be exactly that. Like I said this is just my opinion which is likely invalid as it' based on a single experience and very little proper understanding or knowledge so please do not feel offended as I don't want to diminish your hard work and feel free to tell me otherwise. What are you after? ElementalX is super stable, always up to date and has all custom kernel features.
i have wonder if possible fix for wifi drops connectivity in common use in kernel side.. and idont find anything
