Has someone tried doing this on OSX on Mac?
Are there any alternative instructions for Mac users?

Hey man. I restarted this process. Got through the SC Code thingy. And now i'm stuck at "Open device manager and check the COM port of the nexus, note it down."Na.. U don't.. I flashed a specific kernel (mentioned a few pages back) on 5.0.1.. No issue whatsoever.. Give it a go, if u fail in doing so.. I'll help u out.

Let me know if it works....
0.5Mbps is a little slow,I made it work, while using Stock 4..4.4, then installed stock 5.0.1, the phone shows the LTE icon, but it won't download faster than 0.5Mb/s, which is very weird, I have tried the same SIM on another phone and it's much faster, 20-30MB/s
My phone is the D821, any help please!???
I have done everything even on 4.4.4 and 5.0.1 and i got success in QPST still no warid LTE is showing up i got LTE sim as well as LTE coverage still the problem remains it always connects to EDGE what will be cause can u help me on that? i am from lahoreIf you are on lollipop you probably won't be able to able to make it to the COM PORT part if you're using the kernel from OP (That kernel is for Kitkat). Use Hybrid kernel to boot the phone instead and COM PORT will appear in device manager.
so is it possible for the D821 to enable band 19?Is the D821 lacking hardware for Band 19? Or is it just not possible to enable it in software? I see it has Band 20, which has a higher frequency downlink but overlapping uplink.
Edit: this looks promising, Azlun do you have any comment? I cannot read Japanese unfortunately.

@meher91I've got the same problem right now! I can't install the drivers. That means i can't see the com port number etc. I don't know what to do. I'm stuck. Did you find any way out of this?
Installing the .exe file was not the issue. After doing that, the signature of the driver for the COM port was not recognized by my system and so it wasn't working.@meher91
Just had a one thought as to why you can not install the diag driver.
When you installed "lg_android_31010.exe", did you run the .exe as administrator?

If not, try to install by right clicking on "lg_android_31010.exe" and "Run as administrator"
It might solve your problem.
Glad to hear it:good:Installing the .exe file was not the issue. After doing that, the signature of the driver for the COM port was not recognized by my system and so it wasn't working.
Therefore, I disabled the Windows Driver Signature Enforcement by pressing F8 during system start-up and going into the Advanced Boot Options...This procedure worked for me.
I recommend 442 instead of 501 for keep LTE connect easily.Hello there, I'm having a problem here and I'd like your help in this.
Let me starting by saying that when I'm flashing the qcn file, it shows this warning: "The model number in the QCN file and the phone do not match. Do you still want to restore the phone with this file?". I don't know if this happened to everyone and therefore it's normal or if it has something to do with the problem that I'll show below.
I followed every single step of the guide, the kernel I used was the Chainfire one (in 5.0.1).
When the LTE connects (and has a serving tower), my device's network goes off. Then when it goes idle, I get my network again.
