[Radio] Enable LTE Band 3 and 8 on D820 and LTE Band 2 and 4 on D821

I have Nexus 5 D820 US version and I'm trying to enable band 3 LTE.
I'm using CM13 because saw some members had success with enabling diag mode.
However, when I enterted logcat -d | grep "commandId\ 200" I got this result:

I'm afraid to proceed, is the SPC code really supposed to be 00000???

Start the Nexus 5 Field Test Mode app
Select from the menu "Settings (View)"
Select "LTE" from the list
Select "Edit" from pop menu and then the pop window will display

Then run the logcat command to get the value.

Click on the cancel button from the pop window

I am running 6.0.1, stock kernel and stock root. Sorry, the info did not help.

try other rom..

for my case, i have the following roms:
multirom:
1st- miui 8 marshmallow
2nd - cm13
3rd- Android 7 aosp

i started to apply this mod in cm13, but i have some issue then i switch to miui 8 for diag mod and completed the process. now i have B3 on D820.

Anyone knows how to bring back Band 3 and 8 on D821? I have done everything I could do, such as flashed stock radio, go back to stock rom try some custom rom or even try the unofficial nougat rom, also did the thing as described by od on the first page. Still, nothing works.
So here is the conditions on my D821, if I go to the Field test mode and try to select the radio band, there are only USA and JAPAN band. No Euro band.
Since the band 3 and 8 are on Euro band, now I'm not able to have LTE connection. Please help, I'm about to go crazy trying to fix this thing.

Hi guys, I just want to confirm that the trick worked like a charm for my LG820. Now I'm able to get the LTE signal in Ireland with Three Ireland as mobile operator.

It happened to me. I did see on my phone the a SuperSu request did pop up and I had to grant the access (this right after had run "su" on the shell)

Hello, I have follow the instructions of the tutorial (to enable bands 3 and 8 on my D820) and everything seems to have worked, but I still can not connect to a 4G network, it gives me an EDGE network and sometimes I lose the network for about 5 seconds. If anyone could please help, I would be very gratfeul. I'm from Romania, using Orange. I haven't done any modifications to my phone, except for unlocking and rooting it.

Also, I have no ideea what flashing, kernel and rom is, so if you could explain everything in a less tech-savvy way, I would very much appreciate that :c.

just one question... can I unroot my phone now? Because I have 3 apps that require non-rooted phone :/
I'm asking before I do it, because I don't want to repeat whole process again
so after I unroot will I still have LTE band 3 activated?

Yes you can do whatever you want but you'll not lose the lte band 3.

i am now running CM 13 android 7.0 build , i have also tried nitrogen os 2 . all are running 7.0 , so have to wait until 7.1 comes, btw pixel software is not running on nexus 5

hey guys.
i hope someone here can possibly help me out with this.
i've got a serious problem since the first day i bought my nexus 5 D820 by the way i'm from morocco.
At first i thought my phone was a D821 because rebooting to Bootloader shows that it's a D821 (H)
But that (H) have always confused me till i removed the back cover and found out it was a D820.
my problem is like that: my phone can't connect to 4G,and switching to it makes my phone goes to "emergency calls only'' mode.
i can catch 4G signal only in some places and especially when i'm near a 4G tower.
i don't know if the problem has to do with bands ( i mean i should enable any band to get LTE working properly since the phone doesn't support band 3 which is the working one here ) or the modem that's already flashed on my phone Which makes it hard for me to get Strong LTE signal.i didn't flash any modem though.
so,to sum up,now my phone can catch LTE with full bar when i'm near A 4G tower.
sometimes my phone loses signal even when i'm using 3G which forces me to switch to 2G to get it back.
please help.
do i have to check if band 3 is enabled and working peoperly? and how can i do that?
do i have to try any modem(i already posted in the thread of modems but no one answers)
if anyone has any clue.
any suggestion is welcome.

my carrier support bands 3 and 20.
i Can Follow the instruction he gave to flash those bands.
but before doing that i need answers for my questions before i proceed to do that.
if my phone is a D820 and i need to enable or reflash band 3 to get LTE working,why LTE obviously works when i'm near a 4G tower?
was is already activated by the seller who sold me the phone ?
if yes or no how can i know if it's enabled or not ?

that doesn't help.
i did what is more helpful than that.
i tried force switching to LTE by dialing *#*#4636#*#*
my phone will not just catch 4G signal unless i'm near a 4G tower.
i tried different Sim cards,the same result persists.
I don't know if the band that works here is already enabled (band 3 and 20) or wether it doesn't work properly.
or the modem that is already flashed on my phone doesn''t function and receive signal properly.

I guess your operator do not full coverage your area by dual band 4g network, since band20 can transmit more far than band3, operator may use band20 for large area coverage, which your d820 does not have such rf front end filter and PA hardware to support it. So in case your operator does not own enough basestations addresses to make band3 coverage well, you will experience what you met.

If you want to check which band your phone is connected, try to find LTE Discovery or Cellmapper on Google play store, such apk have optional set to try help.

here's what the app say.
i could catch LTE for sometimes with full bar.
the app says ''unknown band''.
do you know what does that mean ?
and i guess i can catch LTE sometimes and only in some places especially near the 4G tower because possibly band 3 is already enabled.
but band 20 isn't enabled.
do you know how can enable it.
and if i enable will that fix my problem ?
