Any luck on the new ATT radio from 5.12?

Thank you

Edit: Already had it installed. I guess it came with the firmware. Thanks All!

These radios are all for GSM devices, as yours is CDMA, they will not work.

I need a GSM radio on the phone so i can have 3G in Spain, voice and SMS works perfect but i cant get data to work.. installing GPE for sprint now to test that, but have a bad feeling that i have to live with WIFI and calling wich makes the phone pretty useless..

I know this thread topic is regarding the sprint htc one and att, but i have TMO radios running on my sprint variant htc one now. Depending on how i configure the settings, i can get near 4G speed.

Question

Hi guys,

I got an AT&T HTC and I need the 900MHz WCDMA

I read that the AT&T version does not come with that band so I was wondering if I flash a new radio does it automagically unlock that band and/or any other band I might need?

Also I turned this AT&T version into a GPE will the appropiate rado work if I flash it? Or should I just undo everything I did and send the phone back.

Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm guessing the answer to my question is a No, but I just want to make sure.

Answer, as you guessed, is no. It was long discussed how to get the missing WCDMA bands and the consensus is that the bands are disabled in the hardware somehow. Switching radios will not do anything (regarding the operational WCDMA bands).

I have the similar problem: I have an European HTC One which misses the 850MHz WCDMA band. Every time I go to the American continent I have to get satisfied with EDGE (2G) network speeds. I think this is one of the few flagship devices that misses some operating frequencies which is enough for me to never buy an HTC again (Note: new flagship HTC One M8 has the same limitation).

Thanks for the reply, I ended up switching carriers and all is good.

firmware update

It has to be done using adb and fastboot in RUU mode. Vomer thread is a good guide to flash firmware. A link to it is located in OP. :D

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4

Edit: Added a quick how to flash firmware to OP. If further directions are needed just follow vomer guide linked in OP.
Will flashing firmware from this thread change my hboot? I'm running ge darkboot and I noticed that in the firmware zip there's a hboot file and didnt know if that would change mine. Thanks
