AT&T SpecsHi guys,
I got an AT&T HTC and I need the 900MHz WCDMA
I read that the AT&T version does not come with that band so I was wondering if I flash a new radio does it automagically unlock that band and/or any other band I might need?
Also I turned this AT&T version into a GPE will the appropiate rado work if I flash it? Or should I just undo everything I did and send the phone back.
Thanks in advance.
PS: I'm guessing the answer to my question is a No, but I just want to make sure.
if your looking for the AWS bands only the T-mobile One has themWireless Technology

Answer, as you guessed, is no. It was long discussed how to get the missing WCDMA bands and the consensus is that the bands are disabled in the hardware somehow. Switching radios will not do anything (regarding the operational WCDMA bands).Hi guys,

Thanks for the reply, I ended up switching carriers and all is good.Answer, as you guessed, is no. I have the similar problem: I have an European HTC One which misses the 850MHz WCDMA band. Every time I go to the American continent I have to get satisfied with EDGE (2G) network speeds. I think this is one of the few flagship devices that misses some operating frequencies which is enough for me to never buy an HTC again (Note: new flagship HTC One M8 has the same limitation).
Will flashing firmware from this thread change my hboot? I'm running ge darkboot and I noticed that in the firmware zip there's a hboot file and didnt know if that would change mine. ThanksIt has to be done using adb and fastboot in RUU mode. Vomer thread is a good guide to flash firmware. A link to it is located in OP.
