Hey guys, I have a question about my device. I'm thinking it needs a firmware and radio update, but I'm not sure. When I'm on the Fastboot screen this is what I see.
Code:
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-GOOGL001
HBOOT-1.57.0000
RADIO-4T.29.3218.08
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Jul 28 2014, 18:52:08.0
Looking at the available Radio images to download from this thread, it looks like I'm using a newer version. But I'm not sure about my firmware. Is that the HBOOT? If so, 1.57.0000 looks to be quite outdated.

How would I go about bringing my device up to date, which files should I flash?

BTW, the CID says GOOGL001 because that's what I set it to when I tried out GE on the phone. It used to be ROGER001. I'm on Rogers Wireless in Canada.

Thanks in advance for any help!
I managed to figure this out. Running on an updated Radio and Firmware.

Potentially dumb question: will these radios and firnware work with a HTC One S? I just want to be triple sure. Phone is S-OFF and superCID.

Thanks :)

Absolutely not. Radios and firmware are device specific and are created for that particular device. You need to use a radio or firmware created for your HTC One S. If you try anything else, you will not be happy with the results. It never hurts to ask and make sure.

Currently running DE 5.0.2 (Brightstar) on AT&T M7. Radio is god awful. Please suggest the radio suited best for AT&T reception.

Thank you.
Since AT&T haven't updated their software in a while why don't you try the last AT&T radio (4.4.2 ATT OTA/4.18.502.7) Radio_4T.24.3218.09_10.26.1718.01L listed?

WWE HTC_Europe radio Lolli 5.0.2

Hi I am looking for radio from the title but can't find it. What I can find is my own copy of the radio, so I'll upload that one and someone can make flashable zip for us. Also what is a procedure of doing them flashable radio zips? Can someone tell my retarded tushy how to do that?

Ok folks, I'm here to bring you the 5.1 radio from the latest GPE update. I snagged it from another thread and set it up as a flashable zip. Keep in mind that radios are essentially drivers for your modem so they are platform agnostic.
Radio Lollipop 5.1 (4T.36.3218.06_10.33R.1718.01L) HTC One M7 Flashable ZIP

If you hate my radio choice, feel free to replace the radio.img with your own radio.img file and then you have your very own custom flashable radio! Now spread joy upon the land with your new radio flashing / creating abilities!

Thanks santod040 for the original radio! (Note you can dump your current modem with either ADB or Fastboot, can't remember which one off the top of my head... perhaps both work!).

Im running the commands fastboot getvar all and it doesnt progress, it says read failed too many links. samething if I try to run the flash firmware.zip commands. too many links. what does that mean?

I am S-off, have Viperone 7.0.0 and hboot 1.54

Ok never mind, rebooted tried again and it went through this time I get the error:
41 Wrong Model ID (means the MODEL ID in the android-info.txt does not match with your device. you can reboot the device. You may change the MID manually in the android-info.txt at your own risk.)

What does this mean if it says at your own risk Im afraid I might brick this. Whats the risk and how can I mess this up, and what is the safest way to do this?

Radio/Baseband

Not quite sure if my post belongs here. I'm going to buy the HTC One A9 from China. (GSM)
Bell.ca is my service provider, just wondering if I could flash a Bell radio to the cellphone in order to make call on the Bell network Reason I'm asking is that I used to own a Samsung galaxy S2. I switch providers from Rogers to Bell and all I had to do is flashing a (Baseband Radio) from Bell to my phone.
Can I do the same to the HTC phone, just flash a new radio?

Thanks
