Somewhere Giving God All The Glory!
1. Here is my getvar (what is my firmware version?):
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.44.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.20.3263.16
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 1.26.502.12
(bootloader) version-misc: PVT SHIP S-ON
(bootloader) serialno:
(bootloader) imei:
(bootloader) meid: 00000000000000
(bootloader) product: m7_ul
(bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8064
(bootloader) modelid: PN0712000
(bootloader) cidnum: CWS__001
(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 3850mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
(bootloader) security: on
(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
getvar:all FAILED (status read failed (Too many links))
finished. total time: 0.053s

2. So just to clarify - does my custom ROM includes an updated firmware version or not?
I don't have a developer edition, but a regular ATT version...
Thanks!
1. This is your firmware: version-main: 1.26.502.12. Remove your imei and serial number from your post. Also you must be s-off to flash firmware.

2. No custom rom includes firmware. I'm also att and have flashed the firmware. Before you install firmware make sure you are running the most up to date recovery.

I'm a tmobile california user and flashed the developer edition firmware+radio then came to this thread to flash (T-Mobile Latest) Radio_4A.17.3250.20_10.440.1150.04L. Would using the ATT, GE, WWE, DevEd, or other radios give worse service than a Tmobile radio for a tmobile user? Or does that not matter and we should just try different ones?

Best experience would be to just try the ones tour interested in and see how they work out for you. I've used tried every last one of them. User experience will vary from user to user.

If I wanted to flash the GE firmware without wiping my data and installing the GE rom, can I remove boot.img, recovery.img, and system.img from the GE ruu and flash that?

There's is a GE firmware if your interested. I might as well post mirror on this thread for that one as well. But I don't think you could just remove that stuff from ruu and flash.

Edit: GE firmware is now part of this thread!

This question may be out of line but I want to make sure before I do anything to mess up my phone. I successfully flashed a new radio and I am s-off and supercid running the latest twrp recovery. Can I flash the firmware packages through recovery or do I have to use adb commands?

It has to be done using adb and fastboot in RUU mode. Vomer thread is a good guide to flash firmware. A link to it is located in OP. :D

Edit: Added a quick how to flash firmware to OP. If further directions are needed just follow vomer guide linked in OP.

Very nice op godfirst.

Nice and clean and right to the point. Also nice q and a for questions that get asked quite a bit. Should definitely help out people unsure of flashing firmware and radios :thumbup:
