HAPPY FLASHING!

Requirements:
-Must be rooted
-Custom recovery installed(CWM or TWRP)
-Odin or Mobile Odin

***DOWNLOAD MOBILE ODIN HERE*** <---Thanks to @Chainfire

Flashing methods:

WARNING:The nonhlos.bin should only be flashed to match the firmware you are using so example, if your already on MDL firmware and you flash mf3 modem you dont flash the nonnhlos.bin from the mf3 because the nonhlos.bin currently is mdl...if you then upgraded to an mf3 firmware then you would flash the mf3 non-hlos.bin

I made this tutorial for people than want to help

You have to have adb and have knowledge on how to uset it

Extracting a modem TUT

FIRST METHOD

1. Extract the modem to your internal memory

adb shell su -c "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/sdcard/modem.bin bs=4096"

2. The NON-HLOS.bin

adb shell su -c "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19 of=/sdcard/NON-HLOS.bin bs=4096"

3. Pull the modem from the internal memory

adb pull /sdcard/modem.bin

4. Pull the NON-HLOS.bin

adb pull /sdcard/NON-HLOS.bin

SECOND METHOD

If you know how to use terminal on sgs4 you can type this

adb shell su -c "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/sdcard/modem.bin bs=4096"

adb shell su -c "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19 of=/sdcard/NON-HLOS.bin bs=4096"

And the modem.bin and NON-HLOS.BIN will be extracted to your internal memory

You can sent us the modem and NON-HLOS.BIN if you want to help us to made a zip for the modem ;)

Hey guys whats the purpose of flashing a modem ? Do i get a whole different system setup or is it just for people who want to travel internationally ?

Some modems are more efficient in some regions than other...you change it and search the best that work for you

So are you saying when you go to about phone and baseband that it still reads the old modem?

Yes, you can see it in my image, still saying MDJ when I flashed MDL. Is there another way to verify this?

Try this. ..

Enter this with the dialpad: *#*#7378423#*#* then hit Service Info --> Configuration

Under Working Bands you will see a list of frequencies. flashing back to previous baseband you'll see the frequencies changed .
