I changed the whole screen a year ago, and noticed these golden pins... I am pretty sure I didn't replace them as they were before (and some of them were already missing), but I didn't notice any effect on the signal.
Could the antenna wires have been tampered with your operation ? I remember they were not easy to put back in their original spots.
But I would try a full factory reflash and OTA from zui 1.9 to the latest (with bootloader relock) before unmounting the motherboard and check the wires.
I'm a beginner in smartphone repair though, I hope someone with better understanding can really help you !
It turns out that I can still get and hold a 4G signal whilst out of the house, but the signal stubbornly sticks to 3G at home, despite the alleged good coverage from my network. Strange.

Still, I suppose being able to get it outside's more important, seeing as I have wi-fi at home anyway.

Hi all, a friend of mine has the following problem: when enters home signal disappear. Flashed modem 4.0.247 without changes. Switched SIM to other phones and signal is good inside home. I'll try flashing previous modems to see if it solves. Which modems are compatible with android 9? ROM AEX Pie

signal problems with MVNO kena Mobile when I am at home

I need help regarding the GSM signal and data in closed environments with virtual operators (MVNO Kena Mobile). I tried to install all the modem versions listed in the forum but the situation does not change. The same operator on another device works fine

hey, no matter what version i try i get "no sim card"
any fix ?
tried the lte fix, didnt work
try flashing sensors as well (persist).

In worst case: Flash ZUI 1.9 using qfil to reset all partitions (amd your phone). Then update to ZUI 3.5, unlock, flash latest twrp and flash CustomRom of your choice again.

Had to open up phone to change the battery over the weekend; ...

I noticed three tiny gold clips falling around whilst changing the battery and suspect this has something to do with it. That said, the problem persist even after replacing the missing ones with those from another phone.
Same thing! So you apparently know where they came from? I saved mine in case, but... had no idea where to put them back.

Also, did you have a new back for the phone or new clue to fix it on... or just reapplied it with the old glue? The replacement battery came with double-sided sticky strips to hold the battery in, but not to re-close the case. Seems to be holding okay with the old glue for now...

It sticks to the old glue for at least half a year, trustees what I can tell you now [emoji16]
I also have no clue what the gold coloured clips are for but everything is working fine

I am not experienced with flashing phones (Installed some custom roms, but still I don't really know what I am doing).

So my phone shows me the Baseband Version M8996FAAAANAZM-1.70664.3.76387.1 . However, I can't find that Baseband Version somewhere in the first post of the thread. So it seems pretty outdated.
Can I just flash the latest Baseband without worries? (Download .zip --> flash with TWRP --> Reboot and be happy ?)

Sorry if that question was asked before. I tried to find something via search function, but wasn't successful.
