i get firmware.zip from OTA_Legend_Froyo_S_Vodafone_UK_3.14.161.1-2.05.161.1_R_release_135177_156984u2k321537x1cpy3d

put it on sdcard, and rename into legeimg.zip

my old data
RADIO 7.08.35.21
HBOOT 0.43.0003
[ro.cid]: [VODAP102]

new
RADIO 7.13.35.05
HBOOT 1.00.0000

in HBOOT menu was 5 puncts
[1] BOOT
[2] BOOTLOADER
[3] RADIO_V2
[4] RADIO_CUST
[5] RECOVERY

when phone updated -> rebot & bootloop

could it be because of the new RADIO or HBOOT

is this RADIO UPDATE to fix problems like bad signal and calls going down???! im having this all the time!
Unfortunately after upgrade to froyo and radio 7.13.35.05 I experimented bad signal too.
Then I tryed to use radio 7.08 and nothing has changed.

(Now I am using gingerbread but there are no signal improvement)

Im having a problem with updating radio to this version, because updatescript is too old for CWM 3.

Now trying to manually update...

Edit: Flashed it successfully with "fastboot flash radio radio.img" :) Just extract radio.img from ZIP-file and but it in your fastboot directory.

Another link ? I get corrupted files with this link :/

EDIT: hm I'm build my own update.zip is of, http://www.multiupload.com/2EQT7G62NF

Thanks for the ZIP link !

I think this radio has eliminated the dropouts I was getting on music streaming while walking around my house with phone in a pants pocket. Even the basement seems to be good.

Strange thing though, is that the reported signal levels, in my work area at least, seem to be unchanged.

I have a Canadian Virgin(/Bell) model and the original stock radio seemed to be 7.08.35.05. I'm on Bell's network via an MVNO using HSDPA/UMTS 850/1900.

In my work area I seem to get around -97 to -103, old radio or new. When I first boot and check my levels, they seem to jump up to -85 or so. Weird. Maybe it's a closer tower on Rogers network it sees first before switching.

Anyone know if the aluminum case is known to contribute to cell radio and WiFi problems ? I'm wondering if some antenna hardware mod might help.

EDIT: phone seems to be getting much hotter in my pocket while streaming than it did last night.

And now I'm noticing signal strength is much better, like around -80 to -83 dBm when on a table and I'm NOT holding the phone like a PDA or a phone to my ear. Can be on my pant leg for about -90 to -95, but I can't have it in my hand without losing some 10-20 dBm.
