[RADIO] [UPDATED 10/21/11]HTC VISION RADIO's (PC10IMG.zip Update Files & .img files)

ATTENTION: TO BE ABLE TO FLASH ANY RADIO IN THIS THREAD YOU FIRST MUST HAVE S-OFF

WARNING: FLASHING RADIOS CAN BE DANGEROUS. DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO YOUR PHONE THAT YOU DO NOT TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. REMEMBER TO RESEARCH FIRST. ALL THE DOWNLOADS HERE HAVE BEEN TESTED TO WORK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU TRANSFORM YOUR HTC VISION INTO A BRICK.

For those who don't know what this is, its the HTC Vision radios all made into PC10IMG.zip files.

The andriod .txt files in my PC10IMG.zip's have been set to superCID 11111111. Most users can flash my PC10IMG.zip files without superCID 11111111. If for some reason you get a CID error when trying to use the PC10IMG.zip files, try setting your CID to superCID 11111111 via GFree. An extreme few have not been able to use the PC10IMG.zip files without superCID on their phones.
To achieve this setting on your phone use GFree from the WIKI with option -c or -f.

How to use this method:

1. Download the desired radio file.
2. Rename the file to PC10IMG

IMPORTANT: You must rename the downloaded radio file name to PC10IMG in order for it to work. I did not name the flies PC10IMG in case you download multiple radio files to cut down on confusion.

3. Place the PC10IMG.zip radio file on the root of you SD card.
4. Power the phone off.
5. Hold the volume button down and press power on.
6.The phone will boot into Hboot then Bootloader, It should see the PC10IMG.zip and ask if you want to apply the zip.
7. Use the volume up button to select "yes"
8. Once its done flashing, reboot the phone and you should have a new radio.

IMPORTANT: Remember to remove or rename the PC10IMG.zip from the root of your sd card when finished, because if for some reason you need to get into recovery from bootloader, you will not be able to because it will see the PC10IMG.zip file and want to update instead.

NOTE: The above mentioned instructions is the only way to flash the PC10IMG radio files. You can not flash the PC10IMG radio files in ClockWorkMod Recovery like a ROM, it will not work.

I have personally tested each file on my phone and supplied MD5 check sum's for each file.

RIL FILE LIBRARIES:If you are interested in matching the ril file libraries you can LINK REMOVED, and download his Radio to RIL Auotmatcher. This will automatically detect which radio you are running and match the correct ril library for it and install it too. (thanks to pfak and rmk40 for their work). Please post all ril related issues in RMK40's thread. Remember don't make changes to your phone unless you know what those changes will do and also how to revert back. LINK HAS BEEN REMOVED SINCE RMK PULLED HIS LINKS AND CLOSED HIS THREAD......You can also go HERE TO EDKEYS THREAD for more info on ril matching for the newest radio.

EFS DATA WIPE:There is evidence that wiping efs data when switching radio-firmware or ril-libs will solve many GPS issues. XDA member guhl99 created a method to wipe the efs data. Here is a quote from ghul's thread FOUND HERE:
Hi!
The GPS - issue (GPS searching forever, no fix, status bar does not even show the gps-icon) can be fixed by wiping the efs data.
This data is stored in partition 13 and partition 14 on the G2/DZ/DHD/MT4G.
......
To wipe the efs is general a good idea if you switched radio-firmware or the ril-libs (which might happen when you switch from one rom to another)
have fun - Guhl
So in order to simplify this wiping process AmazingLarry has created a script of guhl's efs wipe and made it flashable through recovery. You can go to his thread and download the vision_wipe_efs zip tool FOUND HERE

MIRROR: Here is a DOWNLOAD MIRROR for the PC10IMG.zip radio files graciously posted by jeffakajeff, Thank you jeffakajeff

BELOW ARE RADIO.IMG FILES ONLY

For those of you that want to use fastboot to push the radio.img to your phone instead of using the PC10IMG.zip files, the following downloads are just the radio.img for each radio. (Please note the following files will not work using the above PC10IMG.zip method)

To use:

First you must have an ENG. Hboot to use this method.

Next download the radio.img file you want from below.
It should be a .img file.
Its should be named radio.img
Next place the radio.img where your fastboot.exe file is. It should be in your AndriodSDK tools folder.
(Note: If you have your SDK \tools folder add to your environmental variables then you can use Fastboot from any directory.)
Again make sure the file is named radio.img

Next boot into bootloader the select fastboot.
Hook up your usb.
It should say "fastboot usb" on your phone
On the computer open terminal.
I always make sure my phone is recognized so I type

Code:
 fastboot devices

you should get back your devices serial number

next type

Code:
 fastboot flash radio radio.img

when its done, next type
Code:
 fastboot reboot

Thats it you should have the new radio.img flashed to your phone.

I don't think the posted t mobile radio is the latest radio. I believe it is pre ota radio. Someone would need to correct me if I an wrong.

Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App

The lastest OTA T-mobile radio is 12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26, the file Vision_TMOUS_RADIO_12.21.60.09b_26.02.01.15 was the original radio that came with the G2 when first released.

I will edit the OP to cut down on confusion.

Fantastic!

I came here to look for this very thread! I flashed the newest radio, and battery life and signal reception went to crap. Now I can put it back the way it was!

Thanks again!

I just want to pass this on. In the other radio thread there was someone that flashed a radio and was getting bad data speeds but after he wiped his dalvik cache they went way up. So, before you rule out a radio you might want to try that.

Thanks a million:D joemm,

I've been missing this. Coming from using the N1,
their forum has a radio thread of all zips.

No disrespect to the other thread, I appreciate his hard work too but, I've always felt
why not make this uber easy for even noobs to be able to flash radios back and fourth.
This makes it a lot safer. This really should get stickied.

F.Y.I. There is a nice free md5 sum checking tool for windows here.
In case anybody needs one.

I can't find one with reliable speeds :( or anything over 1700 kb/s. Before flashing a radio I was getting 5 mb/s and it was stable.

Could you please add the 26.10.51.26 radio from the latest OTA update (2.42.405.5)? And what about the RCDATA? According to this thread it is recommended to flash the RCDATA along with the radio images...

    Edit:
I've uploaded the 26.10.51.26 radio including the rcdata from the OTA update. Source: OTA_Vision_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.42.405.5

im a noob.....can someone tell me how to manually update the RILs for the new .30 radio? i ran the auto ril matcher, and it didnt recognize the radio, it just said "done", so im wondering, RMK can u make an updated version of your auto matcher, or someone please tell me how to do it manually! thanks!

    I found the ril's here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13280027&postcount=23

I just pushed them to the phone with adb.
They are located in /system/lib/ on the phone.

Enable USB debugging on the phone by going into settings>applications>check USB debugging
Connect your phone to your computer via USB and fire up adb. Place the ril files in your platform-tools folder. Then issue the following commands.

    adb remount
    adb push libhtc_ril.so /system/lib/libhtc_ril.so
    adb push libreference-ril.so /system/lib/libreference-ril.so
    adb push libril.so /system/lib/libril.so
    adb reboot

If you don't have the SDK or ADB or don't know what the hell it is you can find instructions here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=ADB
