Random Reboots

Am curious as to how you guys resolved this issue? I have a dual SIM N9500 HK unlocked phone which does this. From what I have seen so far it is not a full restart but a restart of the GUI and the historical battery graph seems to show it cutting out temporarily. This does not not occur constantly. IT seems to be random and happens when the phone is not in use (at least for me). It does not seem to be generated by any heat or active usage. I have only had the phone for 2 months and this occurs about every 3 days. I first noticed it when I because using face recognition as the phone will indicate its been restarted and ask for a PIN instead. This probably started before using the face recognition and I did not notice it.

The symptoms are identical to those reported with the S8 and I noticed 76 pages on the Samsung board discussing the issue but it seems Samsung started purging some posts. I had one wiped out in less than 12 hours after stating I find the issue to be identical to the S8's.

My N950f has same issue after root with magisk. . It will reboot randomly, no idea, but it works fine before rooting

I use iris recognition and fingerprint but happens exactly like you said. So it is a software problem right? I have over warming in this days, it start to happen just like random reboots: without reason.

There is an "Auto Restart" Option in setting. Maybe this is related to the "random" reboots.

my note 8 started restarting today 31/5/2018. It did the same for three times in 2 hours. I never had an issue since i bought it. Anyone found a solution? Thank you

Are you rooted? Using Xposed? Which model? It mght be a certain mod causing issues...hard to say without more info.

Never rooted. No clue what is xposed so i assume no. I never mess with any settings or download software that could potentially alter the phone. Model is SM-N950F/DS
I just observed that auto-rotate doesnt work

Ok thanks for the info. Hmm, not sure... It could be a specific app causing a conflict somewhere. Did you install anything new recently? If so, try uninstalling it and see from there. If nothing, then I would backup my stuff and try a factory reset if the random reboots persist.
