doesn't boot through.

was on nAa kernel (3.0.8-nAa-02+) already (and racing bean).
factory reset, wipe cache, format cache/data/system, clear dalvk cache.
installed zip + gapps.
booted... nothing.
read about wipe (factory reset) after installing zip+gapps: done that
booting leads to the nAa logo, and after a while the red led keeps on blinking.

next try:
factory reset, wipe cache, format cache/data/system, clear dalvk cache.
installed zip only
booted... nAa logo, and after a while the red led keeps on blinking.

edit: i couldn't return to CWM, the red flashing led kept bugging me...
and after a while it suddenly said... upgrading andoird apps!
so the red flashing led means that first boot was still in progress?

edit2: had it working. wifi etc was on. but after that deciced to add my apps (flash via app2zip file) and flash gapps.
after boot the problem occurred... black screen, red blinking led.
i don't have more time to test, need my phone tomorrow morning, so returning to backup.

another strange thing: my battery level dropped from about 30% to almost zero while flashing.

i'll read how others are doing, and (depending on those results ;)) give it another try the coming days.

Hi guys,
Just to say that if you want to use JB camera instead ics camera you can flash this fix & mod by Rizal Lovins. I use it on Mike's rom today's build for MDPI devices. I'm using it on my smultron & works very well (of course only panorama doesn't work), but I think it'll works very well too on your urushi. Try it.;)
P.S: I even deleted the ics camera from system/app folder.

First impression after ±1 hour: I want this on my daily driver, soon. Looks very promising.
Some un-recreatable glitches, but nothing serious.

+ Performance
is great so far, much more responsive than cm10.
I play Rdio from WLAN to my Bluetooth headphones while I play with the phone, and everything stays nice and smooth. CM10 used to have sound dropouts when WLAN is used.
Scrolling stays smooth when cm10 gets 'scratchy' on heavier web pages (I compare two rays side-by-side).
It is subtle but very noticeable: the scrolling stays closer too your finger; cm10 feels really sloppy in comparison (afaik this is a benefit of the v3 kernel, which is required for the full Project Butter features).
Apps start considerably faster (but this is a test phone, squeaky clean and brand new rom. I'll be very happy if it stays like that in daily use).

+ Compass works fine. This was unreliable, even with GB and stock ICS.
+ Google maps spinning arrow is ok now
+ it's cm10.1 (I was a bit envious of all the activity while the jellybean branch slowed down more and more)

Recreatable bugs:
- Power-button menu > turn on Airplane mode. From now on, the option is greyed out. (You can still toggle airplane mode via the notif. bar settings)
- About phone > Build date contains strange (Greek?) chars. Might be a feature ;)
- ALS works but with a long delay (I think 10s hysteresis is ok for reducing brightness, but not for increasing - you'll be blind for 10s when you walk into the sun)

OP could say which gapps to install. (use 20130331, see next post)

Thanks Mike (and all other devs who are involved here)!
I really love seeing how suddenly there's so much going on with our 2011 phones :D

-----------------------
update:
- ASOP keyboard is fine, I no longer need Xperia kb.
- gapps 20130331 works for this rom
- fyi, I really had to do a factory reset; usually I don't do that

Urushi build is being uploaded now, it will be up in about half an hour.

Sent from my Xperia Mini using xda premium
Even though you trolled (Nah, I'm kidding. It's just hard to wait for seeing something new.) AWESOME work though.

My thoughts: ROM is FAST. No issue yet.

Keep up the good work. Thumbs up for the goo.im manager for making it easy for us to download the ROM.

The ROM is very good, but maybe the kernel (not sure) makes the ROM have a random reboot. I experience this about 2 times. But, thanks for bringing us an alternative CM10.1 ROM :)

some how the Lupus kernel supports 720p recording for 4.1 and 4.2, not the foggiest idea how, maybe speaking to him you could support it in the 3.0 kernel, they are both different kernel versions so it's probably incompatible, but worth a try right?

Umm I tried to flash the keneral with lastest PAC rom. WiFi and Bluetooth not working.

Sent from my Xperia Ray using xda premium
try wiping system before installing the rom, as I had to do that to get this rom to work with the provided kernel, for wifi to work. (Bluetooth worked before hand)

Thanks for the feedback.
I see that you have a bluetooth headset. Can you do more testing with the headset to find any possible bugs? (for example, sound during call)

About phone: build date contains greek characters since I'm from Greece and I use greek language on it ;)

I will test operation with a bt headphone and a headset. Anything not obvious that I should look for? (like "it's weird but bluetooth is somehow linked to the camera")
