With alpha3, the SD bug is fixed. Don't format the card, it will work as it is.

When you go from alpha 2 to alpha 3, just flash kernel and rom (and gapps). Don't format /system etc.
When you go from alpha 1 (1 !) to alpha 3, you must follow Mike's guide, because the partitions change.

## Alpha 2 build 20131210 - cm-11.0

Requirements for the new partition layout:
* Have the stock ICS 4.1.B.0.587 full ftf flashed (doesn't matter if you have flashed it in the past or if you flash it before installing cm11.0, it will work both ways)
* LT15i (Arc) users need to flash LT18i (Arc S) ftf
* MT15i (Neo) users need to flash MT11i (Neo V) ftf

Only use the thread for development discussion, anything else belongs to the Q&A thread.
Am following cm roms after i rooted my ics walkman, currently in alpha 1 build, but i Couldnt understand step " Have the stock ICS 4.1.B.0.587 full ftf flashed ". Please some one explain it. Sorry for my stupidity.

1/ Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1628264
2/ pick out and download the "stock ICS 4.1.B.0.587" unzip / unrar it so that you have one large .ftf file.
3/ Go to http://www.flashtool.net/download.php and get FlashTool for your platform
3.1/ Start flashtool and click the lightning icon.
3.2/ Select the .ftf file using the source folder file browser. (otherwise drop the .ftf file in the C:\Flashtool\firmwares folder)
3.3/ Click flash and follow the on screen instructions.
4/ Get mike's fantastic rom from http://legacyxperia.basketbuild.com/index.php?dir=main/cm11.0/
5/ Extract the boot.img from mike's rom
6/ (optional) get gapps from http://legacyxperia.basketbuild.com/index.php?dir=main/cm11.0/
7/ Load mike's rom and gapps .zip files onto the SDcard of your phone.
8/ (optional) backup the data on your phone (apps/other data not on the cloud or sdcard)
9/ if you're on windows cd to the C:\Flashtool\x10flasher_lib directory
10/ if you're on linux cd to the Flashtool directory and "sudo" your commands

back to mike's instructions:

11: fastboot erase system
12: fastboot erase userdata
13: fastboot flash boot boot.img
14: Enter recovery, go to mounts and storage
15: Format /system, then /data and then /cache (Important step!)
16: Flash the cm file that you loaded onto your sdcard
15: (optional) Flash gapps if you want google apps (recommended package is the one provided by mike)

hopefully that should get you started...

As for my part - ART isn't working on my ray with Apex launcher... is not ready for daily running...

Thanx for generous reply. But still it is missing that what to do with stock ics file.
Do i have to flash it like normal rom. (With wat kernl?)
What is the impact if i dont?
Why it is needed?
In past i was having ics stock ( not sure that it is the mentioned one) - is that enough?
