Did you flash the included kernel?
Did you format /data?

flashed kernel but didn't format data
is it necessary?
You say you did format /system, therefore I suggest you also format /data.

If you are already on a previous release of this ROM, there is no need to format anything, but if you do format, format all :) which is basically the same as factory reset.

I have got a question for mikeioannina or anybody else who can help - The LegacyXperia kernel doesn't boot when added to another ROM's sources.

I have downloaded LegacyXperia sources and the ROM builds perfectly fine. The kernel boots and everything else is as expected. But, when I put the kernel sources in another roms, Paranoid Android or CarbonRom, the kernel doesn't finish booting. I have made sure that the kernel sources are pointing to Github cm-11.0 branch. I have also compared the device/semc/urushi sources and those are identical to that of LegacyXperia sources. I am completely stuck here, been trying to figure out this mess myself since last 10 days or so, but no luck so far.

Here is the logcat. The logcat doesn't proceed after the last line but it's still running apparently. I have left the phone like 10 minutes and still the last line remains the same. Any help would be super helpful.

You may find my response a bit offensive but here it goes:
Since you are asking this question, I am assuming that you can read as well.
The OP clearly explains (even step by step for a person with an IQ<20) what needs to be done to get the phone up and running. Just read before posting useless questions which makes people read and waste their time by firing off furious responses.

my ray barely uses deepsleep.
I had the same problem since last 4-5 days. I was on Carbon ROM but I think the steps will be same. What I did:
1. Used Banks minimal gapps package - http://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=15769 (7-2_GApps_Minimal_4.4.4_signed.zip)
2. Compiled ROM with latest sources. There was one specific commit that disabled the gms or some other package receiver that was causing battery drain, can't recollect what it was.
3. Disabled option "wake on notifications" from lockscreen settings. (This may not be available in LX).

this is weird. after several reboots. deep sleep worked again... sometimes this bug appears again and disappears after 1 or 2 reboots.

I also saw some people report this bug in bug tracker so maybe mike will fix it. till then I'll keep rebooting because can't build from source due to broken pc.

noise suppression

I noticed that there was added a line "Disabled broken in-call noise suppression" to the changes for the upcoming build.
I am wondering whether it was a problem for someone with Ray? I didn't notice anything wrong.
