Sweet Spot
I have a couple of (I hope) easy questions for @FXP:

1) Is Focal included in the latest CM10?

2) Why doesn't the compass work in Maps (CM10) when it works in CM10.1 and CM10.2, will it be fixed?

3) Is there no chance in getting ANT+ working in later versions than CM10? What is the reason for that, drivers from Sony?

4) Is there a reason that CM10 has an older version of Trebuchet than newer CM-versions (v.0.2 compared to v.1.0 if I remember correctly)?

I'm having trouble choosing version since there are several nice features in CM10.2 but the lack of ANT+ support is a big drawback, hope you can help my decision!

Focal is cm10.1 to cm10.2 only, and even the 10.1 version is like 88 commits behind (a month) cm10.2
ANT+ is a lib issue, no one with the time or inclination to reverse engineer it. You will most likely never get ANT+ in the later cm versions

On your other questions I have no answers :(

I installed FXP 234 today and I must say I am impressed. It's very smooth and very stable until now, and it has a lot of features because it is CM. I have found two things that are missing though:
-There is no option to turn on the flash when taking a photo, but there is when shooting a video.
-There is no option to turn on the speaker when listening to the FM radio.

Otherwise, great job by the FreeXperia team. Well done! :good:

I flashed FXP 235 and these issues were resolved. Maybe I did something wrong the first time...

hey there,

finally some life in this thread again :) so i dare to "reanimate" my posting from august 5th. hopefully someone knows the or some answers this time. thx! :)

hey there,

unfortunately i'm losing a little bit of control concerning the "haves" and "not haves" on cm10 on the ray. i'm finally in the mood to upgrade vom cm9.1 to cm10, but i'm not sure, if i dare to ;)

are there any severe disadvantages of cm10 (fxp v230) [EDIT 09052013: fxp v235] compared to cm9.1?

is mass storage supported "out of the box" or do i have to flash some patch?
should/must i update my current baseband 72? if so, to which version?

thx a lot for your help :)

Hi everybody!
I just tried CM 9.1/ CM 10/ CM 10.1/ CM 10.2

I come from CM 7, and i can tell you that i really appreciate that newest versions.
I actually use CM 10.1, because the 10.2 has a really bad bug: it dont let me use the "home" button.
And both CM 10.1/10.2 doesnt let me use the standard keyboard. (I have to use Swift key)

Which do you think is better? Just your personal opinion.
SJB 6.0, Hepta or last FXP CM 10.1? :)

And to install it i just need to use the same method as the FXP CM 10.1 explained in "Installing CyanogenMod on Sony Devices", here?

Hepta,
To install it use the provided kernel (its in the ROM zip) flash the kernel,
Boot into cwm, do a full wipe and flash the rom

To install the kernel means that i have to use the "-i 0xfce flash boot boot.img" with a boot.img inside the folder?
I dont exactly know how to flash the kernel.

Or i just have to flash a file " *.zip " (just as i do with the CyanogenMod)? :D

Navigate to your fast boot.exe file,
Put your kernel inside the folder
Press shift-right click somewhere in that folder,
Click "open command window here"
Type "fastboot flash boot [kernelname].img
Type "fastboot reboot

Then open cwm and flash ROM etc.
