ok now it works. I used the fastboot.exe within the file you posted opposed to the one in the android sdk and voila, now I have cyanogen on my Ray. A perfect combination!

Another small issue: I installed Weather & Toggle Widget and it doesn't appear on widget lists ;/ Tried reinstalling, but no effect.
Regards.
Can anyone please confirm it's CM7 issue? Try to install the app (it's free from Market) and check if you see the widget on the list.

Another question:
I asked it on cyanmod forums already, but no response. I can see this forum is more active, so maybe someone will answer me ;-)

In this thread: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/32774-cyanogenmod-7-for-the-xperia-ray-v7101-11-oct-2011/ we can read:

Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 7?

Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
Flash CyanogenMod (your Google Apps will be backed up & restored automatically).

Can anyone please explain it how does it work? What should I do to have all my apps and data after next update?

1. I have to boot my phone in recovery mode (reboot, then when phone is booting (FreeXperia Logo) press volume down key several times).
2. enter "backup and restore" option
3. hit "backup" (it will make full backup of current rom)

and now what? Just Flash new version of CM and everything will be automatically restored from performed backup in step 3?

Thank you in advance.
Regards.

Any idea how long that will be? I might go back to stock until flash is fixed, depending on that

Sent from my ST18i using xda premium
Probably only SEMC knows that ;/
Regards.

Brightness Bug

Hello,

I noticed a brightness bug within FXP042.

When I chose a brightness setting then turn off the display and turn it back on again the display is darker. When I then go to settings again the brightness slider is still at max, but when I touch it, the brightness jumps.
This occors on all brightness levels, although it is easiest to test at lowest and at maximum brightness.
Also using the status bar to slide the brightness doesn't work.

The results where the same whether I used the CM7 kernel or Doom kernel for CM7.

Maybe someone can reproduce the error on their phone and tell me if they have the same error or not.
Here are the steps again summed up:

1. go to display settings.
2. slide brightness to max
3. turn off.
4. turn on
5. touch the slider at the max position and see if brightness jumps

Thank you :)

Say “very nive work” again! And here are some small problems

1.The Keyboard light does not work when using(still working when charging)

2.The screen is not very bright

3.Camera Flash ( seem all the Xperia devices)

And, i solve the No.1 and 2 with using stock 2.3.3's light.semc.so (system\lib\hw), now it is bright and i have the keyboard light, the colour is pink......and i can't stop it even lock screen, it is turning on for ever (until power off)

here is the 2.3.3's light.semc.so, put in system\lib\hw, and change the permission:(backup first)

reboot, then you will see.
I used this method and it worked for brightness. Unfortunately now the ring around the home button is constantly on :/

Anyone now how to fix this?

Tested FXP 42. Everything works ok, except that i can't import my call logs and contacts using Titanium Backup anymore. I think this is from 2.3.7 storage differences.

Anyway, comparing with my personal optimised stock .283, Cyanogen seems to be more slower. Including the boot time. Stock .283 with exactly the same applications boots faster... i have about 190 applications installed. With stock hard reboot takes about 35 seconds. With FXP 42 takes more than one minute :)

I wait for Cyanogen with stock apps integrated. I personaly dont like the colors from cyanogen themes. I dont like the phone app and the messaging application.

Best regards :)

FXP043 will require SEMC SW 4.0.2.A.0.42 (link on first page)

dont post bugs if official firmware is not upgraded!!

please update devices!
What does it mean? If we have FXP042 installed already, do we have to install official SEMC SW 4.0.2.A.0.42 and then FXP043?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
