I use the new fancy lupus GB kernel at the moment , which works great.
Cannot tell about battery drain yet, but the kernel has lots of governors to play with. Furthermore i added the repack4pda V7 (old) toggle bar.

If i have the time then I will make a new illuminative GB rom from this one :) for now, i just use this one as it is.
Hehehe :) , hey Vleutmans!...a new toy to play with :D

Inviato da me!

I can not root the original .ftf with either Eroot or Flashtool. Has anybody managed to root it? Otherwise, are the repacks prerooted?

I prefer to install the original .ftf in order to debloat it on my own (the repacks usually miss some nice sony widgets).

BTW, the new baseband does have better GSM signal. I compared it side by side with a -64 baseband Ray.

How come it only come to us now? Has there been some kind of leak?
Anyway I recently tried GB roms again and I just can't go back to it, I miss the android 4+ goodness to much and once I installed all my usual app the performance were pretty much the same.

I seem to have the opposite...whatever i flash above GB, I always return to GB for the sake of speed and smoothness ( sorry... I'm spoiled).
GB is light compared to the heavyweight ICS, like windows XP compared with windows VISTA :)

Ofcourse thats by humble opinion...If CM10 (Jellybean) had a decent camera with HD recording then it would be a good alternative too....

I can't imagine anything in ICS, what may be missing in GB. Yes, there are some apps that claim they do run in ICS+ only, but it's only the indication of bad programming skills of their authors or bad marketing. There is nothing really special introduced in ICS, what's really different and better than in GB. For the devices with 512M RAM ICS is simply too heavy.

Dev. Of superleggera seems to need ics for special apps, but i haven't run into any issues on GB...only one issue on GB pops up....it's too fast/smooth so you get spoiled :) no escape possible when you taste a good gingerbread ;)

Sent from my ST18i using xda app-developers app

You can't say that an app that doesn't run on GB is just the result of bad programming and anyway that doesn't change anything for the end user (me) the app are just not there.
To be precise I missed Gmail, Apollo, The stock sms app, Keep, the task manager, Nova, Google now...
And as I said it was really snappy when I flashed and tried playing game straight away but once I started installing all my usual app it just slowed down to Jelly Bean speed. I don't know if 4+ have a better multitasking or what but missing all those app and having almost the same speed is just no deal for me.

However once I get a new phone and I'll use this one as a backup phone I'll probably flash vleutmans's rom or Gin2JB those are two great roms and both devs have done a fantastic job but I just feel you reached the top of what you can do with a GB Rom.

Edit: Do we have any feedback about the new baseband integrated in this Rom?

the reason that some app that only run on android 3.0/4.0+ only is because that app need the new API/feature that only available on android 3.0/4.0+

Would love to know how you got Lupus GB working in the first place - all I get is a bootloop! Any ideas?

nice rom :)
can someone please provide a flashable zip of notification toggles and their init.d tweaks?
This is the one from repack4pda V7 (you can also find in that thread)

Anyway, the toggles work great :)

BTW init.d tweaks are not really needed, as GB is already at top speed by default.
You can flash adrenoboost 0.6 on it if you want, to boost antutu benchmark to 7000 :)
