I clean flashed CM 12 on my Moto G XT1033 (converted to GPE)(29/01 Nightly), the problem I face is that I cannot send/receive SMS messages. but i can recieve calls

Exactly the same problem here. I can call out as well as receive, however I cannot send or receive sms.

XT1033, upgraded from cm11 > cm12 falcon (31/01 nightly) using TWRP 2.8.1. Gapps mini modular package from PA link following the guide on the official CM12 Falcon thread.

Sim card has been tested to send and receive fine in another phone.

MMS is working fine and all APN settings have been double checked.

I've tried using the *#*#4635#*#* menu to see if the SMSC number was the problem. Confirmed it was correct.

I tried flashing using CWM as well with the same result. Also tried again with TWRP, this time formatted data too.

It looks like this problem has occurred for a couple of XT1033 owners upgrading to CM12 but Im not sure if anybody has worked out a solution?? If anyone has any troubleshooting ideas, suggestions etc... Thanks in advance. :fingers-crossed:

Bluetooth

First of all, thanks for all the great work!

I have a problem with the bluetooth (related to sound) on my XT1039, and it has been consistent on all of the CM12 builds so far. I update daily by the way. I am also, as of today, on the latest (02012014) Pink kernel, but have been on the previous build while experiencing the following probems:

1. When connecting and disconnecting bluetooth devices 1-2 times the bluetooth stops working properly, and just plays sound for 1 second on connect before it stops playing sounds to the device altogether (but remains connected, so there is no sound elsewhere either). Reboot and it's fine again for 1-2 connect-disconnect instances. This is not device specific, as I have tried numerous devices with same result.

2. If I get a message (sms) while listening to Spotify, for example, the bluetooth volume on the phone suddenly goes to max (and I have one helluva speaker! ). Toggle the volume +/- button, and it immediately goes back to the previous sound level.

Any suggestions? Is this CM related, kernel or something else?

I can confirm your point #1. Have the same problem since while. I'm looking forward to a change that has been merged just today, however I don't know if this really fixes the problem:

Hello guys,
I did upgrade to cm12 but the phone is not rooted.
I activated the "Root acces: aps and adb" but supersu gives me this error:
There is no SU binary installed, and supersu cannot install it. This is a problem!
If you just upgraded to Android 5.0, you need to manualy re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device

I tried to flash "UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94" linked in the official thread but the error does not change.

Do you have any advice?

Today I tried (skeptically) the two classical methods suggested on MoDaCo (which I used to make root the first time) but do not work.
I can not even flash with cm12 because I can not do backup: titanium backup does not work without root.
Does not work either the automatic update (I have the latest edition of TWRP)

am i the only one that doesn't have 4g anymorr since like 3-4 builds? before i had lte connected immediately in the middle of the town where there was full signal, now it just connects me to h+. i have selected lte recommended in settings

I had this issue too.

But the worse is, i'm still having problem with immediate closing background apps when i switch between the other app (e.g. i launch music player and when it's in background and i'm trying to launch other app, music player i suddenly closing).

Hi again! In previous versions of Android there was a function in settings->storage where you could move all music files, images etc. to the storage card in one go. Has this function been removed or relocated?

Shouldn't the FAQ contain that Xposed Framework is not working in all Lollipop versions because of ART?
I mean many of users don't know that,I have had friends who come to me with the issue. It would be nice of you to put it in FAQ so some more of the users can read it and don't try to install Xposed.
It might also help some of users to decide weather to move on to Lollipop or not!

XPosed is being worked upon and is in lollipop beta stage as per latest news.

It's a completely different architecture with pretty much no documentation. Rewriting Xposed for the ART runtime requires understanding the concept, the code structure and many details to know how it works. I have already spent dozens of hours on that and some things are working. But still it's a long way ahead. Don't expect even a test version in the near future. So please don't ask when it will be available - you will surely know when it is ready. I have nothing else to say about that.

It doesn't sound like it will be here soon. I've obviously read the thread by rovo

CM12 Csipsimple mic not working

Has anyone else tried Csipsimple on CM12?

The microphone does not work regardless of what audio troubleshooting hacks I try.
Sometimes it's totally silent and sometimes it just outputs a robotic tearing sound (especially when trying loudspeaker).

I'm using Moto G 4G (XT1039) on 6th Feb build.

I'm using Moto G 4G (XT1039) on 6th Feb build.

I just tried the new 9th Feb build which had some VoIP call fixes but made no difference, so I tried changing some settings again in Csipsimple's audio troubleshooting:
Use mode API : disabled
* Use routing API : disabled
* Audio mode for SIP calls : "NORMAL"
* Micro source : "DEFAULT"

And now it works fine.

I performed a full wipe and clean install today, with no way of fixing permissions on my CWM recovery.
I had the Bluetooth streaming problem with Music app and with VLC. Music app is not FCing anymore, which is nice.
I tried to play with Bluetooth options, untick and tick again the boxes, and it seems to be working now...

Maybe it would help some other users...
