I think that page is confusing it for the non 4G/LTE version - if anyone has a 16GB 4G handset, please correct me.This page states 8GB/16GB:

I'm guessing you didn't look in here.I know that the former involves a modified file and the latter I believe a factory firmware but I've found neither so far for my firmware (made worse since searches can bring up for the older models).
I did but didn't find anything for my firmware or device (closest being the EU version or a different variant device).I'm guessing you didn't look in here.
I don't believe there is a GB specific stock ROM - just flash the EU one. Maybe someone who's bought an unbranded XT1039 in the UK from Amazon or somewhere can confirm it's the 'EU' variant?I did but didn't find anything for my firmware or device (closest being the EU version or a different variant device).

[EDIT: or keep an eye on this thread]
Flashing this will get rid of the bootloader unlocked screen. Your device will still be detectable as having been unlocked even if you relock the bootloader. You'll have to unlock the bootloader to root the device though. If you want to remain 'stock', you don't need to flash a recovery - you could just boot to a custom recovery with 'fastboot boot recovery.img' rather than flashing it, and flash SuperSU from there. When you reboot you'll still have the stock bootloader and OTAs should still work.
Well it's working fine on my UK XT1039. And for the other people who have tested it in the quoted thread. It's not like the /logo partition is anything to do with the radio, I would assume its the same on all variants, even the non-LTE falcon ones. In fact, I would bet you could flash a falcon ROM on your peregrine and it would just break 4G and access to your SD card (I'm not about to try though). So it's ok to flash logos from different regions? I just don't like the idea of seeing an annoying warning everytime I boot.
Thanks, I'll probably end up doing that (wish more devices used fastboot). Will I need to be careful though if I downgrade? e.g. partition table or does CWM take care of that?Well it's working fine on my UK XT1039. Also the EU firmware will work fine on UK models. I'm not sure what the differences are beyond the 'EU' string in the baseband version etc - probably just different legal information in 'about this phone'. It'll still pick up all the UK carriers and what have you.
If you absolutely must have the exact same firmware version you have now, just take a Nandroid backup from a custom recovery (which, remember, you can just boot to using a PC without even flashing it) before messing about with flashing new firmware. On the offchance no GB firmware appears, you'll be able to restore your backup since you'll have unlocked your bootloader. You would only need a Motorola supplied stock image in order to flash it to a bootloader-locked phone, since such a phone will only let you flash Motorola-signed images.
I wouldn't worry about Motorola's dire warnings of voiding warranties, either - your statutory rights are unaffected by their posturing, and EU law says you can do what you like to the software on your device and it won't affect your hardware warranty unless your changes can be *proven* to be the cause of any fault.
I believe the partition table is different in 4.4.4, and people have had trouble downgrading. I think it is possible but not as simple as flashing the old gpt.bin - I don't know, I haven't tried it. I seem to recall people having trouble with Falcons not accepting old versions of gpt.bin and this was breaking some install scripts, but you could manually reflash each (old) partition using the 4.4.4 partition table... I don't know if this is an issue on peregrines, YMMV.Thanks, I'll probably end up doing that (wish more devices used fastboot). I know people have had issues when using fastboot but I'm not sure when it comes to nandroid whether it's an issue (I've never used it on devices where the partition table is an issue).I believe the partition table is different in 4.4.4, and people have had trouble downgrading. No, it means it'll be sim unlocked to use on any network. It'll still have a locked bootloader, but you can unlock it with a code from Motorola's website.I think my moto g lte xt1039 will arrive with kitkat 4.4.2 installed. The site where i ordered it says is "sim free/unlocked", but here's the first newbie question: it means bootloader is already unlocked?
Should be fine if you OTA update it before mucking about with root etc. You can defer the download if you want to do it over wifi.- If it will ask to update to 4.4.4, can i do it without problems with wifi connection?
I have an old SanDisk one in mine, and my wife is using one of these, both with no problems.- Sd card support: which low budget 32gb do you suggest? Thanks
