What wipe will delete them?? Moto g has internal memory..so it will saved in memory

Sent from my XT1033 using XDA Free mobile app
If you want a less bugged rom, then I suggest wiping every partition. Internal storage is what shows up when you plug your phone into the computer. Unless you download music from Google Play, that is saved in Data.

Create a folder in the same directory where you place your flashable zips and copy your music to that folder. I'm not sure which wipe can delete that but the normal TWRP factory wipe won't delete from that directory

Hi, I have a XT1033 with Custom ROM, Custom Kernel, Unlocked Bootloader, Custom Recovery and Bootloader is 41.18. ROM version is 5.1.

Can I just flash a Kit Kat Custom ROM like any other ROM via TWRP or do I have to do those downgrade stuff from Lollipop to KK?

Lollipop is waaaay too slow on XT1033.
Thank you!

Rom can change the unlock code?

I convert mymoto G XT1032 to GPE, Updated to Lollipop 5.1. I request the sim unlock code, but fails, two providers gave me the same unlock (one gave me two) but isnt working. So my question is, the rom can be the problem? For me is weird that two provider gave me the same code and the code wont work

My device is XT1032 GPE Lollipop 5.1 Unlocked and rooted and latest bootloader but I can not install any other 5.** Stock and Custom Rom. I can install 4.** Stock and Custom Rom without problem.
I tried to re-flash the stock kitkat Rom and install Lollipop Rom but I could not install Lollipop base Rom and updated to the Lollipop through the OTA from Kitkat Rom but it did not work. Still can not install Lollipop base Rom. Does someone has the same problem?

Hi! I am using a Moto G XT1033 bootloader unlocked and with PacMan ROM the latest beta.
Now the ROM is lagging a lot for me. I wish to switch ROMs but I don't want to wipe my data as it can not be recovered again. (I have an app with about 2GB of data and there is no way to get back after wipe) I have 2 questions now:
1. If I take a backup using Twrp will it backup all the things in my memory(for eg Music)?
2. Is there any way to go back to stock ROM without wiping the data?
2.1 If not then can I switch to ANY other ROM without wiping data? (I think PacMan is based on CM)

TWRP will backup all system but it's not for your new Rom. You can not restore from this backup on to your new Rom.
You should use Titanium backup for backup your apps and data. You can restore from it on to your new Rom.
You can go back to the stock Rom but only flashable zip. Not fastboot flash (It will erase everything from your phone).
You can try to install PacMan Rom again without any wipe before try new Rom (Install Rom and SuperSU (You should install gapps. If the gapps not working correctly).

@matmutant

Perhaps a new FAQ entry relating to Brightness issue would be useful.

I reduced brightness to 0 and got stuck with a black screen?
This appears to be a bug in 'Adaptive brightness.' Turning it off and on should stop this happening.
If you are in this situation, try shining a torch light on the screen at an angle to make out the very dim display. You can also try swiping down the 'quick toggle' notification menu and changing brightness via the sliding bar. [Source]

The reddit thread suggests this issue effects all variants of Moto G as well as other phones.

Does anyone know what is this? It appears in the logcat (and floods it) sometimes...
Code:
E/AKMD2 ( 271): GetMagneticVector has failed (0x0004).
What bothers me is: the orientation and magnetic sensors are actually only one piece, a single Asahi Kasei AKM8963, and the compass doesn't work but orientation does...

Hi, my microphone volume has gone down a buttload for some reason, and I can't think of a reason why. I did notice after the first time someone told me that some dust particle was in the microphone hole, which I tried to remove with a pin, to no avail. As far as I know it's still in there, but when I tried to make a call with a headset mic, it was just as soft, which leads me to think it's a software issue. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I've seen some threads floating around the web but never with a satisfactory answer. I'm running stock 5.0.2 on a european XT1032 GPE, it only started happening a while after updating from stock 4.4.4. Factory reset hasn't fixed it (unless it got messed up again by my reinstalling apps and using settings tied to my account)
