So yes its bull**** second, i work with lithium batteries every day and while they can explode...... they get really hot 1st... hot enough u know somthings wrong. Why would you do that now? The S7e is almost a year old. Disable OTA's (there are still ways), hang tight with your N7 and wait until the S8 is out. Or if you have your previous phone still, use that as a last resort. I wouldn't trade for a device that is almost a year old at this point. I the S7e is nice, but will seem dated very soon.
In agreement here on the self risk factor. That voluntary recall means it's voluntary for Samsung though, i.e. they haven't been forced by some government body to recall it and they're doing it on their own terms I'm guessing.
