I just got the LG G4 and I wanted to see how a quick cropped picture would compare against the S6 Edge I've been using since Feb. This is the first picture I took after taking the G4 out of the box. I took 2, one with each phone from the same position and then cropped in quite a bit to see the difference. I'm throughly surprised.

Order of pictures.
S6, uncropped
LG, uncropped
S6, cropped
LG, cropped

(please excuse my dusty computer!)

I am now adding in full photos to my Google Drive of both the S6 and G4 - I would sort by name so it's easy to compare. LG shots will always come first then S6 https://drive.google.com/folderview...VqVTd3VjRNRzR3UnE3RF9VUVhJVU1lY1k&usp=sharing

Right now there are 12 each up there . I will upload lowlight/night ones as it gets dark. I am EST
update: 8pm - Now 20 pictures

Try taking one on auto and one in manual in G4 too. You ll see. I think G4 rock compare to my G3 too.

Night shots on g3 is quite bad. I'm pretty sure g4 delivers a major improvement over it.

What I would really want to see is night shots comparison between g4 and any lumia pureview.

The Lumia phone is basically a camera that can make calls. Nothing will beat the Lumia but this is the next best thing after.

Low light photos have been posted to the link in the first post. I also have two photos on here taken at midnight. The s6 didn't capture anything. The G4 actually got the big dipper and all the other stars

Are these photos taken in auto or did you change the shutter speed for the G4?

Very nice comparison! I'll get my G4 monday, woaaa, can't wait.... :) By the way, I miss the S6's 'autofocus tracking' feature - would be really good on moving objects. :)
