Really weird bug I've never seen before

I just got a Chinese 1900 mah battery with surprisingly good build quality. I charged my phone only to wake up and see it discharged over halfway! I looked in settings and see that the messaging app kept my phone awake for 10 straight hours and used almost 300 mA. Thoughts?

Could just be that it was a one time mess up where it went into a loop or something. See if it keeps happening.
