Missing Google services

Hello Tecalote and other kind souls,
I've followed the instructions in post #2 to rebrand my girlfriend's P9. It went through largely as described (more detailed description below). However, Google services are missing and tapping on Playstore icon has no effect. How can I install them, ideally without wiping the data again (as HiSuite restore did not keep the login details in various password-protected apps to the annoyance of my girlfriend)? Post 482 referred to the similar situation, but exacerbated by a factory reset, which required flashing ramdisk and recovery.ramdis. I don't think this applies to me because I am not rooted, OTA does not show any available upgrades, and my firmware is later version.
Many thanks for your any clues.

The following steps in the process went differently from the description.

Step 4. My bootloader was locked and the HWOTA7 tool did not accept my unlock code, saying it was wrong (I tried several times). But fastboot oem unlock worked first time with the same code. <shrug> I then proceeded to step 6.

In step 19 when I rebooted into EVA-AL10C00B535 Oreo for the first time, there was a Huawei agreement dialogue, but no Google Services dialogue, so I did not have an opportunity to accept Google T&C. This must be the reason there are no Google services on the phone.

After installing the network patch in step 23, I realized I needed to put more files on the SD for steps 24-26, so instead of installing them in the same TWRP session with the network patch, I powered the phone off to take the SD out again (would be helpful if the write-up reflected the need to prepare all the files in advance just like with the firmwares).
Since I flashed b535, I followed the suggestion in step 24 to install first the Cleanup zip and then VIE-EVA-AL10-Playstore+HwApps-v1.2.zip in the same TWRP zip queue. I realised I could not install Gboard.apk, because TWRP apparently only flashes zips. Despite this, the keyboard was eventually there with no need to install it, perhaps because it was backed up in HiSuite.

HI ,
First of all i would like to thankyou about this supperb tool , Rebrand Update HWOTA7. ;)
I have rebrand my EVA-L09 , European fw to EVA-L10 535. Now my P9 has got OREO.
All working ok , but i have some doubts ...

a) I want to receive automatic updates , so i have follow tutorial , so at the end i have used my NetworkPatch_SINGLE-SIM_EVA-L09-OTA-ENABLED-v1.2.zip and later i flashed VIE-EVA_b535-RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img. But , when i will receive my updates , need i to remate the whole process of reflash networkPatch , google store ... etc?

b) My telephony supply name it is not good , Before it's JAZZTEL ( ORANGE company) and now it's IBERCOM .... All works ok , internet , and phonecalls ... maybe config file missing?

Thanks for all..

b539 is not yet pushed by OTA

You can check posts #1130, #1131 - what is needed to patch if manually upgrading to b539

Once b539 comes by OTA, patching b539 will become easier - but generally, you will always have to patch something for the new firmware

i tested and found taht flashing "xposed-v90-sdk26-arm64-beta4-test1.zip" works great for xposed, just takes ages to boot the first time
Does it work in combination with Magisk or to you use SuperSU?
Ofc safetynet will not be bypass, but I am interested if Magisk Root is working with this Xposed...
Is this Xposed Version from rovo89 or is it by topjohnwu?
Can you post a download Link to the version you use please
Long time to boot first time is normal ;)

Edit: @zgfg gave me already the download link.
Its developed by Ibuprofen.
Have seen other development by him, but didn't know about Xposed...

A method for seeing notification on lockscreen? I think i have changed theme and discard magazine
On the top right of this page you have Search box
Write in Notifications (and other things) and you will see things were already discussed and answered
Eg, post #776

Ok listen...
I've bought a 3 pairs of Pamu Scroll BT 5 on Indiegogo.
In short they make a bad noise in some high frequencies only on Android. I tested them on my P9, P8 lite, OP5T, iPhone XS, iPhone 8 and others... On iOS is all OK.
Before you ask me, it's hard to say that my pair is defective. In fact many other people have this problem and it's ridiculous to say that on 3 pairs, all of them are defective. I guess there's a compatibility problem in every Pamu Scroll BT 5.
The problem is not the volume too much higher.
I've tried to change the audio codec but it's pretty buggy on Android.
And no, don't tell me to use an equalizer because it wouldn't fix the problem and I'd like to keep a natural sound (understand me).
Do you have any idea?

Did you try in Developer Options to change Bluetooth A2DP Audio Codec to aptX HD ?

Can I lock the boot loader after updating to oreo emui, with ota disabled and stock emui recovery?
No! It was already discussed many times.

Hi i after flash Oreo i have unlock bootloader, how can I lock it again?
Answered several times - you must not relock Bootloader.

Those who are irritated with unlocked Bootloader warning at boot must better stay on the stock Nougat

Locking Bootloader triggers Hard Reset - in this case you will loose eg Network Patch, and what fior is then Oreo without Mobile Network

Also, locked or unlocked Bootloader does not affect OTA upgrades (OTA may lock Bootloader by itself)

(Otherwise, Bootloader can be relocked the same way as unlocked: from Fastboot, with the same Bootloader code, just the command is relock instead of unlock - but see above why not to do it)
