Missing Google services
Hello Tecalote and other kind souls,
I've followed the instructions in post #2 to rebrand my girlfriend's P9. It went through largely as described (more detailed description below). However, Google services are missing and tapping on Playstore icon has no effect. How can I install them, ideally without wiping the data again (as HiSuite restore did not keep the login details in various password-protected apps to the annoyance of my girlfriend)? Post 482 referred to the similar situation, but exacerbated by a factory reset, which required flashing ramdisk and recovery.ramdis. I don't think this applies to me because I am not rooted, OTA does not show any available upgrades, and my firmware is later version.
Many thanks for your any clues.

The following steps in the process went differently from the description.
Step 4. My bootloader was locked and the HWOTA7 tool did not accept my unlock code, saying it was wrong (I tried several times). But fastboot oem unlock worked first time with the same code. <shrug> I then proceeded to step 6.
In step 19 when I rebooted into EVA-AL10C00B535 Oreo for the first time, there was a Huawei agreement dialogue, but no Google Services dialogue, so I did not have an opportunity to accept Google T&C. This must be the reason there are no Google services on the phone.
After installing the network patch in step 23, I realized I needed to put more files on the SD for steps 24-26, so instead of installing them in the same TWRP session with the network patch, I powered the phone off to take the SD out again (would be helpful if the write-up reflected the need to prepare all the files in advance just like with the firmwares).
Since I flashed b535, I followed the suggestion in step 24 to install first the Cleanup zip and then VIE-EVA-AL10-Playstore+HwApps-v1.2.zip in the same TWRP zip queue. I realised I could not install Gboard.apk, because TWRP apparently only flashes zips. Despite this, the keyboard was eventually there with no need to install it, perhaps because it was backed up in HiSuite.
