Thanks, Xposed installs but it breaks Safety Net.
However, it is enough to disable XPosed framework through Xppsed Installer app, and to reboot and Safety Net becomes green again - this is good for testing/experimenting bacause one does not need to flash Xposed uninstaller to get Safety Net passing back.

---------- Post added at 08:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:50 PM ----------

is it possible to get advanced reboot on b528?
Tried APM+ and Power Tweaks in Gravity Box Xposed modules but they don't work.

However, Media tweaks / Vol keys skip tracks in Gravity Box works fine

I
Does anyone know whether 539 will be last build by huawei for p9? Or will there be a new update next year?
Still the old year but the new b540 is already avialable (but not approved yet, hence no OTA updates to b539 and b540)

Manual upgrade as it was described in post #1130 for b539 - of course, now use b540 update*** zip files:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78358056&postcount=1130

xloader.img at offest 1a8 reads 00000000 - the old/safe xloader

Extracted b540 stock Ramdisk, Kernel, Recovery_Ramdisk, Xloader and b540 Ramdisk patched by Magisk 18.0 are available at
https://mega.nz/#F!JwkVyRya!Rb7OUE0z3PEpXBRxGOM-vQ

Edit: Successfully upgraded to b540, see

Ok listen...
I've bought a 3 pairs of Pamu Scroll BT 5 on Indiegogo.
In short they make a bad noise in some high frequencies only on Android. I tested them on my P9, P8 lite, OP5T, iPhone XS, iPhone 8 and others... On iOS is all OK.
Before you ask me, it's hard to say that my pair is defective. In fact many other people have this problem and it's ridiculous to say that on 3 pairs, all of them are defective. I guess there's a compatibility problem in every Pamu Scroll BT 5.
The problem is not the volume too much higher.
I've tried to change the audio codec but it's pretty buggy on Android.
And no, don't tell me to use an equalizer because it wouldn't fix the problem and I'd like to keep a natural sound (understand me).
Do you have any idea?
Any news?

quick question. the phones says its treble supported. If we get decryption support on TWRP would we be able to flash GSI images?
Yes, as @zgfg said, but you need the original recovery_ramdisk (and not TWRP) and you extract first the system.img from OpenKirin Rom and flash it with Fastboot Mode, reboot to EMUI Recovery with three Button combination and do Factoryreset from EMUI Recovery.
Installation Guide:

So far I know the Best Treble Roms are from Open Kirin Team for the P9, because everything is working.

Interesting and very good even it's in Alpha state is:
OmniROM Pie alpha 3 new released.
Download: https://openkirin.net/download/
I know one person which is very happy with it.

Interesting are the different experiences.
My friend (Background Firmware EVA-AL10 8.0.0.535) has no issues. Camera is working, Network is perfect, SMS sending and receiving as everything else is working properly.

- But it might not work, if you don't install it over clean original Firmware (+ Network Patch installed) - and if you flash it with TWRP instead of Fastboot Mode (by doing Factoryreset before first Reboot)
- if you come from another AOSP and you don't go back to Stock Firmware and flash it directly over another AOSP - in this cases you will have a lot of issues.
It's mentioned also by Open Kirin Team in Telegram Channel.

"Make sure you are on your stock ramdisk & wipe with EMUI recovery - no upgrade from OmniROM Oreo"

Hi guys! I have installed the latest OTA B540, using the same procedure and Network Patch as usual.
First I have tried to dirty flash but again problems with Magisk appears, Magisk hide was broken and I couldn't check SafetyNet - service unavailable.
So I have flashed the update once again and did the factory reset from emui recovery. Than I've installed TWRP with fastboot and from there: Network Patch, Face unlock, patched B540 ramdisk, reboot to system and install Magisk Manager, Playstore, Gboard, Titanium Backup and complete Magisk configuration. Reboot and install Busybox and Vanced Magisk Repo. Than I have restored all my apps with TiBu and flashed ECO Kernel with fastboot.
Interesting thing is that my device is now certified out of the box, without changing the fingerprint and SafetyNet is green. No further problems with Magisk.

Updated to b540, all ok
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9...ta7-p9-eva-t3820849/post78511904#post78511904

I have only applied NW patch (from b535), it also enables VoLTE

Did not patch Face (not really need it) and did not patch Playstore - installed GBoard and Playstore manually

Important:
I first tried without Factory Resetting but could not get Safety Net green (tried all sorts of things, no acail)

After Factory Resetting and flashing (again) patched Ramdisk (for b540), Safety Net became green and Pllaystore shows Device Certified - I did not need to change device fingerprint (indeed, Google sent me mails about my 'new' P9, hence it is really certified as Huawei P9)

PS: Even ECO Kernel Linaro for b539 works with b540

Thanks to @AndrzejDwo (we were trying in parallel) - he got Safety Net green upon Factory Resetting, without Factory Reset it was constanly failing (I even tried with Magisk v17.1, with Preserve AVB, etc)

Old stock Huawei Backup application (coming with Nougat and Oreo b528-b540) saves backup archive to
/Huawei/Backup/backupFiles

New Huawei Backup (if you update the app via AppGallery or Playstore) saves to
/Huawei/Backup/HUAWEI P9__***/backupFiles

If you do backup by one and try to restore by another, it won't find the backup archive - you just need to copy/move the archive from one subfolder to another :)

PS: With this new Huawei Backup v9.0.2.333 is possible to restore eg only WiFi data - see screenshots

Issue: This new Hiawei Backup does not list Chrome under the Apps, hence cannot backup/restore Chrome app and its data (bookmarks, etc)
Checked also on Nougat MR v4, same - not listing Chrome under the Apps
