Recording phone calls

I am tired of trying out hundreds of apps to find a way that lets me record phone calls with both participants being audible. I know there are some Android systemic restrictions, but since I live in a country where call recordings are legal, I'd really like to have that opportunity.

Can someone tell me:

• What are the restrictions on Android, specifically up to date OxygenOS
• On a rooted phone, are there other avenues to explore?
• What is your experience?
• Are there apps that let you record such calls with a headset?

Someone already posted that link as a reply to my question, but for some mysterious reason this post isn't there anymore.

I've gone the Magisk way of doing what I needed and it works well.
