Hi everybody,

I posted in the Pixel 2 XL forum but I realize this might be more of a general Android issue.

I have a Pixel 2 XL and the other day I dropped it, and the screen went black.

Took the simcard out to test it later.

So basically, the screen doesn't turn on, at all, there is no light when I plug it or when I try to enter recovery mode, nothing at all.

But I do feel the phone vibrate, if I put my finger to the scanner, I can feel it vibrate too.

I tried putting my simcard back on and restarting, and when I call from a landline I don't feel or hear anything on the Pixel. But I do hear the tone on the land line.

I don't remember if there was any extra steps after putting in the simcard that I had to do.

I will be ordering a replacement LCD from Amazon or AliExpress, but now I'm unsure if the issue is just the screen, or if the motherboard or something else is failing.

So after playing a little bit with the power button, I got it to show up on Device Manager, and on fastboot devices.

Is there anything that I can do from this point, having access to fastboot? (have not been able to get the device showing on adb devices)

Can I recover files?
If I connect a USB-C to HDMI cable to it, will it automatically show the screen on the TV? Or does it need any extra configuration (which I wouldn't be able to do because I can't see the screen)?

fastboot oem device-info shows:

(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true
OKAY [ 0.007s]
Finished. Total time: 0.007s

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know

Thanks in advance!
