LOL -- ooooooookkkkkkkk. I'll crank something up tomorrow -- have to sit on a plane anyway. :). But for the most part, there'll just be a minor tweak to the feature set of official TWRP, other than the build will be based on CM (not OmniRom) as a base.
If I'd have known all we had to do was bump the thread to get an update, I'd have done it a long time ago! :highfive:

2.8.0.3 is already in the latest version of RecoveryFlasher (link in previous post). I'll update it when @tdhite uploads a new build :)
That's what I meant. There's no need for @tdhite (mention spam!) to make a flashable zip of his new update because you have it covered with a really nice tool (that sounds wrong ).

Moreover, after a lot if builds and testing (various optimizations and mods to performance profiles) reality is as of the OFFICIAL 2.8.4.0, there is really no further need for me to build for you folks. The mods I would make at this point are performance, and of diminishing returns now (just not worth it -- seriously).

My true suggestion is that this thread now close, unless in the next couple weeks I see some compelling reason to keep it alive. All of the work I did for this particular TWRP (as I noted before) was folded into the official sources a while ago, in various ways across various devices.

So -- go get the official, and if it really has some problem, I'll start putting out builds again.

So -- two weeks from now, unless there's some odd upheaval, I'll close this thread. Bittersweet moment (love the work), but it's time. :good:

Hey man, we all appreciate the hard work (yes I speak for everyone). As I said before, I'll only switch when you give the official build your stamp of approval and stop building here. So, over to the official one I (reluctantly) go.

If this is true that TWRP has included some of your improvements, I hope you get some credit. Your recovery was a godsend when needing a stable and fast resource. Thanks for your hard work.

You mention that the performance mods in your recovery would be the only advantage, but isn't that a huge advantage? Or has the main TWRP brought up the performance level for the quad core phones?

The performance mods were merged into the official source a while ago:

See: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/9481/

Further tweaks I tested recently simply didn't give enough of an increase in performance to be worth the time and effort.

As for credit -- of course -- the TWRP guys are not kangers by any means. The code follows a standard Gerrit review process. I committed the stuff a while ago (as shows by that commit (see the author) and others in the trees).

It's all good
