Connect your device to pc in fastboot mode and type fastboot erase userdata and than flash twrp. After that just flash the zip file. It should work.

I tried to boot into the new twrp .img (fastboot boot), but i'm stuck on the teamwin screen. anyone else have this problem?

1. fastboot boot it using earlier nebrassy's version
2. flash the new official installer zip
now it should work fine

what's that? I tried every version of fastboot boot twrp.img and all the time i'm stuck in teamwin splash. I dont want to lose my data with fastboot erase userdata
Decrypting is fine, I'm stuck on the teamwin splash long before the graphical key data decrypting input. I am okay with swiping the key to decrypt the data, but I'm not getting there. I'm yet stuck at the splash. I cant explain any better
Please elaborate which version do you use to fastboot. I tried all of them with no positive resultOr, you could try this method :

2. flash the new official installer zip
now it should work fine

FWIW, it worked for me. I had an earlier version of TWRP installed (with stock, rooted, A10), installed this official version in TWRP, rebooted to the new TWRP (it worked), installed A11 (stock), rebooted to TWRP again (still working), and installed Magisk. TWRP is working fine here.
I was also stuck on the TWRP screen when trying to install it via fastboot. I did not have to fastboot an earlier version since I had an earlier version working, but indeed, installing the new official version (the ZIP installer) from a previous working version worked great for me.
if possible i don't want to flash twrp but only boot from the .img.. this always used to be possible, but it doesn't seem to work now.. i am using this version of fastbootOr, you could try this method :

It worked for me.With the latest version .img fastboot boot, it stuck in the TWRP flash screen. And when I fastboot boot with previous version of .img (link in the above discussions) I was able to boot into TWRP and installed the latest TWRP 3.6 version and then installed Magisk to get rooted.
Hi, my root and twrp was gone after updating to oxygenos 11.1.2.2. Now i've flashed the twrp 3.5.2 nebrasssy-2 because thats what you guys advised.
Afterwards i tried to install the 'current' twrp and also tried to install the 3.6 zip. Both result in getting stuck on the teamwin screen.
After flashing the phone is still accessible and i can see all my files on my pc though.

Does anybody know how i can boot my phone again? I'd rather not flash a fresh install.

After update don't reboot phone when installation is done, go to magisk and flash Twrp retention script module, after that flash magisk to inactive slot in install option, then reboot phone. Otherwise your Twrp and root is gone.
apparently without me knowing, i somehow overwrote the original boot.img, resulting in a boot loop.
remember: i accidentally updated resulting in root and twrp loss.
What i did:
- flashed original 11.1.2.2 image (can be found here)
- flashed original boot.img (can be extracted from original zip)
> Now you are able to boot into the phone again
- use adb to boot the twrp linked above 3.5.2 nebrassy-2
- install twrp 3.6 zip
- install magisk v23
...... Profit

I installed lineageOS 18.1 on my up to date oneplus 6. Now I was trying to get the TWRP installed, but it fails. If I take the latest it shows TWRP Splash Screen but doesnt go to the slider to unlock.
If I try older releases I get the Qualcom Crash Dump Error. What am I supposed to do? I don't mind reverting back to stock or reinstalling the OS since tehre is no data on it.

Flash the previous nebrassy recovery via fastboot and reboot to recovery than flash the latest twrp zip.

Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. Installation:
1. fastboot boot twrp.img
2. go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP
3. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
4. if you were using magisk, reflash it now
Updating to a newer build:
1. download new build to internal storage
2. go to Advanced > Install Recovery Ramdisk
4. select the new image
5. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
6. if you were using magisk, reflash it now

The latest TWRP have issues to boot properly, some decrypt situation.Hello guys,
I would really appreciate your support as I am stuck for 2 days with my phone with the stupid crashdump mode black screen.
I am on Android 11, stock rom, rooted with Magisk and unlocked bootloader.
I got stuck after I tried to update Magisk and also when I updated my 3.4 TWRP to the 3.6 version.
Actually I can't even boot into the 3.6 TWRP. I just see the homescreen and stops there.
Now my phone only reboots to the 3.4 TWRP, but inside everything is decrypted and I can't see my files.
I also tried to fastboot flash the latest images of: boot. abl, dtbo, fw , but I still can't access my system.
Any ideas?
First, remove PIN/Password/Pattern in your system, then adb reboot bootloader, now boot attached TWRP through bootloader (fastboot boot TWRP-3.5.2-enchilada-Nebrassy-2.img) then flash Orange Recovery, reboot recovery and done.43
