Hello guys,
I would really appreciate your support as I am stuck for 2 days with my phone with the stupid crashdump mode black screen. :(

I am on Android 11, stock rom, rooted with Magisk and unlocked bootloader.
I got stuck after I tried to update Magisk and also when I updated my 3.4 TWRP to the 3.6 version.
Actually I can't even boot into the 3.6 TWRP. I just see the homescreen and stops there.
Now my phone only reboots to the 3.4 TWRP, but inside everything is decrypted and I can't see my files.
I also tried to fastboot flash the latest images of: boot. abl, dtbo, fw , but I still can't access my system.

Any ideas?

The latest TWRP have issues to boot properly, some decrypt situation.
First, remove PIN/Password/Pattern in your system, then adb reboot bootloader, now boot attached TWRP through bootloader (fastboot boot TWRP-3.5.2-enchilada-Nebrassy-2.img) then flash Orange Recovery, reboot recovery and done.

I'm on Syberia 5.3(Android 12) and I have similar problem. When I try reboot to recovery I stuck on Orangefox recovery splashscreen. I also tried other recovery (latest version of TWRP and TWRP-3.5.2-enchilada-Nebrassy-2.img). Always stuck at recovery splashscreen... I can boot OS from B boot slot.

Introduction:

Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

Key Features:

Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
Onscreen keyboard
Easy selection of internal/external storage

In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe, and run a backup.

We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

If you have made your own TWRP build for an unsupported device, please let us know. We might add your build to the list of unofficial builds. Bear in mind that we are working hard to add more devices and we may add your device to our official build list later.

Hello, this is TWRP, for Oneplus 6 that supports Android 11
can be flashed to boot with working decryption on android 11 roms

bugs:
backup/restore is unreliable

Installation:
1. fastboot boot twrp.img
2. go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP
3. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
4. if you were using magisk, reflash it now

Updating to a newer build:
1. download new build to internal storage
2. go to Advanced > Install Recovery Ramdisk
4. select the new image
5. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
6. if you were using magisk, reflash it now

Hi, it's been a couple of days since I can no longer start twrp.img on my OP6 and then install TWRP.zip permanently. I open CMD, command "fastboot boot twrp.img" and the phone restarts but remains blocked either with the black screen with fastboot mode written or with the initial screen of TWRP. I have tried different versions of TWRP.img and have always installed recovery without problems in the past, but for a couple of days I have not been able to.

Am I missing any steps?
How can I solve?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, atm i use latest twrp with Op6 and A12, but issue with encrypt (i need to delete password before access in twrp, otherwise i receive swipe error and i can use in read only). Is there any fix for this? Maybe a custom recovery? Ty 👍

Hi,
read through biggest part of this thread (not too long anyways) but couldn't find an answer to this:
Why is it that I cannot use the "Format Data" command if running TWRP V 3.6.1_11 or V 3.5.2_11 (aka "Nebrassy_2"), it just is giving me this error (translated from German but I guess you'll get it):
Code:
Process mke2fs -t ext4 -b 4096 /dev/block/sda17 60076219 ended with ERROR: 1
Data cannot be erased.
Formatting to remove encryption cannot be performed
No problem though with earlier versions like V 3.5.2_9.

Btw.: is this command doing the same as "fastboot erase userdata"? Or is this something completely different? I tried googl'ing mke2fs command but couldn't really make sense of that (as you maybe can guess, I'm not really a Linux expert...)

Finally one more observation of something I don't quite understand:...

UPDATE: that riddle with the miraculously self-updating TWRP-version got solved by the ROM's OP... no magik, really

Thanks for shedding some light, and cheers

Please elaborate which version do you use to fastboot. I tried all of them with no positive result
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=326976 , this is the earlier version of the official one, but the fastboot boot is working fine. So fastboot it using this and continue install the official installer zip
