I'm on last xiaomi.eu miui14 Android 13, everything is fine rom works, TWRP flashed and later flashed magisk via TWRP and sd card works but unluckily no decription of internal.memory. I imagine in this way i cannot update xiaomi.eu hybrid rom via TWRP but I have to use update.bat via PC.
Is there any easy solution? Maybe a tutorial
Is there orange fox for Renoir?
Thanks!

Did you check on the Xiaomi.eu forum is there a custom recovery for MIUI 14 for the particular device - their tutorials are there

Must be if their ROM is hybrid and their ROM will install then the proper custom recovery

Btw, download their hybrid ROM zip, unzip and find boot.img there - it should be the Boot image with custom Recovery integrated (since Renoir does not have a separate Recovery partition)

Try to boot it temporarily/once:
fastboot boot boot.img
while you keep pressing the Volume+ button

If it correctly boots to the custom Recovery, enter your Android unlock screen password and if you see Internal memory, install the Xiaomi.eu hybrid ROM zip

If temporarily booting to the unzipped boot.img did not work, just reboot normally to your previously installed ROM

The encryption removal is complete when you root and disable the system read-only key.

Abstract: i just want to ota xiaomi.eu rom (now they r hybrid so fastboot and recovery in the same zip) for everything else there's magisk, anyone has experienced already?

dear friend ZGFG xiaomi.eu rom works flawlessy they don't have custom recovery i'd like to use something like twrp or ofox. I used both in the past with other phone, and i remeber that if tthey're not updated u cannot proper see folder in your phone, so there is always someone who can do it (i have no such competences) and say go now i updated my twrp and data are decripted in android 13, here it doesnt happen:(
I remeber that if custom recovery cannot decrypt data u cannot ota, but maybe i'm wrong.
Shortly i'd like to update rom in the easy way, otherwise i'll use pc in fastboot style. This is what they say
Updating via Updater app: (ROM Type: Recovery)
(A Xiaomi.eu ROM and TWRP must already be installed on your device)
  • Download Xiaomi.eu ROM zip file
  • Copy the ROM zip file to the internal storage
  • Updater -> Menu (...) -> Select update package
  • Select the ROM zip file
  • Confirm any dialogs
  • Don

more AITRA there is no option such mount rw system in last renoir twrp so storage is always indicated as 0, even if u try to reinstall it, even if u flag system square, even if u try to decrypt data with the button under mount

twrp anyway can read external sd and from there u can install magisk, i wonder what will happen when hybrid rom will be prompt to be updated, in their guide they tell u have to have twrp, but how twrp could work if it cannot decrypt data?

Or even more: is it possible to use other recoveries (example Los) that maybe can decrypt Android 12 or 13,without installing their custom roms but with stock or xiaomi.eu roms?

Unluckily Nevrassy gave me the answer: he's inactive now and his TWRP is updated until Android 11. So if there's someone who can update it we'll have decryption in Android 12 and 13

The decryption problem will complete when resizing the partitions in the super partition by rooting and putting sysrw_1.36 in data/local/tmp and then typing the command.

Mmm dear ATRA I'm afraid you have to show us exactly how to do it, maybe with a video on YouTube or if u don't want writing down the steps
Or even better if u have a modified TWRP for Android 12/13 share it!!
Thank you!

    Introduction:

Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

    Key Features:

Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
    Onscreen keyboard
    Easy selection of internal/external storage

In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe, and run a backup.

We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

If you have made your own TWRP build for an unsupported device, please let us know. We might add your build to the list of unofficial builds. Bear in mind that we are working hard to add more devices and we may add your device to our official build list later.

Hello, this is TWRP, for Mi 11 lite 5G

    bugs:
    backup/restore is unreliable
    adb sideload and fastbootd

    Installation:
    1. fastboot boot twrp.img
    2. go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP
    3. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
    4. if you were using magisk, reflash it now

    Updating to a newer build:
    1. download new build to internal storage
    2. go to Advanced > Install Recovery Ramdisk
    4. select the new image
    5. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
    6. if you were using magisk, reflash it now

    @Nebrassy
Thank you for bringing TWRP to this excellent device.
Unfortunately this is the buggiest TWRP I have ever used and it also has a lot of limitations.
Is there any active development to fix all the issues?

Then i tried the TWRP-Backup again and all was working fine!
....and for those, who are worry about restoring a TWRP-Backup: I tried this too, and restoring of the TWRP-Backup worked fine too! (y)

I confirm that a bakcup works by copying it to the PC via the internal memory.

But I still don't understand why you can't mount an SD card via TWRP. The most frustrating thing is that there is no communication about the lack of support for SD cards and other USB sticks, so this bug is still not fixed.

Is it due to the new snapdragon 780G processor still not well mastered?

A lack of time for volunteer developers, despite the fact that it is now more than 4 months?

In short, staying in the dark for lack of communication is more than frustrating...

Lack of time, lack of testers, many other more important stuff to work on, and I don't have the device

Otg does not work on any GKI devices in twrp, though I wasn't aware that sdcard had issues, join my tg group and tag me if you can test
