Noob question. I'm using this TWRP. I also have installed stock package and rooted it in the past. There's a new OTA update from OnePlus. I've downloaded the entire 2.6 gb zip. How do I install it from this TWRP? It keeps saying error unable to install the zip.

Seems like the easiest way to upgrade is use local update in the settings, then re-install TWRP and then re-root with magisk.

twrp isn't "bundled with boot" on this phone but has an own partition. so you can flash it either via fastboot as hueyt wrote or from within twrp itself, with the image flashing function. go to "install", select "install image" down right, select your twrp image which you had copied to phone before and flash it to recovery partition. done.

LineageOS 18.1:
With FBEV2: /sdcard folder contains strange filenames.
With SDCARDFS: /sdcard folder looks ok, but attempt to backup /data fails with:
createTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255.

Try this one.

I'll put up new builds soon, hopefully tomorrow.

I've been out of the loop for some time.

From my current research it appears the twp in post 85 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...overy-project-7t-7t-pro.4299171/post-85522705) is currently working to backup/decrypt OOS (10 and 11?)

There was one post (#62 - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...overy-project-7t-7t-pro.4299171/post-85410743) indicating that system settings are not restored. Is that still the case?

tl;dr Using twrp-3-5-1_11-hotdog-20210821-oos11-test.img does /data restore properly including system settings for OOS 10/11?

Thanks!
