Hi Everyone!

First up: I acted a little bit too quick and just hadn't read enough of the first page. So please don't judge me for the following.

I used this Rom to do a backup of the data partition. Got no problems there so i thought it would be fine.
To check i restored said backup an am now unable to boot with this data. The device bootloops one time and then prints a warning that it is in an 'unstable state'.

I only later read that backup and restore was unstable. On the thread for the OnePlus 7 i even read that a succesful backup could lead to an unbootable state when restored.

Is there anything that could be done? Is it the backup that is faulty to begin with or might it just work with an updated recovery (whenever that might be available).

Thanks!

After local upgrade to 11.1.1.1 (op6), whenever I boot into this recovery I get the splash screen after I decrypt the system and everything gets mounted. Then the phone hangs. Need to force reboot.

Any ideas?

EDIT: This worked for me to get me back running, with root but still no TWRP: link (link to my own post in other thread)

After I update to 11.1.1.1(op6), my phone keeps into bootloop, after I fastboot to flash the img file you have uploaded then it still keeps into bootloop. How can I do?

You might consider using the MSM tool.
Hopefully you have some kind of backup coz using MSM is gonna completely wipe your device clean. Good luck

MSM requires fastboot, no? I can't get into fastboot...

UPDATE: got it fixed by first entering recovery mode (volume down + power button and after that random button smashing, idk if that was necessary) and after that booting into recovery and then installing stock boot image from this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...for-oneplus-6-6t.4304161/page-2#post-85731893

    Introduction:

Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

    Key Features:

Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
    Onscreen keyboard
    Easy selection of internal/external storage

In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe, and run a backup.

We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

If you have made your own TWRP build for an unsupported device, please let us know. We might add your build to the list of unofficial builds. Bear in mind that we are working hard to add more devices and we may add your device to our official build list later.

Hello, this is TWRP, for Oneplus 6 that supports Android 11
can be flashed to boot with working decryption on android 11 roms

    bugs:
    backup/restore is unreliable

    Installation:
    1. fastboot boot twrp.img
    2. go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP
    3. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
    4. if you were using magisk, reflash it now

if Flash Current TWRP fails, go to Backup > Refresh Sizes and try Flash Current TWRP again

    Updating to a newer build:
    1. download new build to internal storage
    2. go to Advanced > Install Recovery Ramdisk
    4. select the new image
    5. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
    6. if you were using magisk, reflash it now

Can anyone confirm if it work with the enchilada hotfix update for OOS 11 OB1?

Edit: Nope! Qualcomm Crashdump all the way :(

does not work. crash_dump. If repackaged with a stock kernel, it hangs on the TWRP logo.
